Thank god, it only costs me a fiver... http://www.hullcityafc.net/news/article/leyton-orient-h-ticket-info-555082.aspx
"Details for the Tigers' home FA Cup tie against Leyton Orient.... Hull City will play Leyton Orient in the FA Cup Third Round with Budweiser and tickets for the game are now on sale. Orient visit the KC Stadium on Saturday 5th January for a 3pm kick-off and Season Card Holders have until Wednesday 2nd January to claim their own seat. Does that mean our players are going to be pissed before or during their game with Orient?? It'll take a crate load mind, Budweiser a small step up from WKD bitch piss.
Unless we charge ordinary matchday prices for the cup games the away team has to agree on the prices. If Orient have said £15 a ticket for general sale is the lowest they'll go, if we want to charge our fans less we still have to make up Orient's share of the ticket. So Orient say £15. Ignoring match costs that comes to £7.50 each. If we then sold at £10 a ticket, Orient would get £7.50 and we'd get £2.50 so we're clearly not going to do it.
CRAZY. IMO it should be set at £10 adults over 18, £5 OAPS and kids from 12 to 18. £1 kids upto 12. Would get far more inside. With the Wendies home game the following week many will keep there cash for that one.
True. So even more needed that City keep the Orient prices as low as possible. ONE BONUS FOR THE DROP IN GATE NUMBERS FOR THE WENDIES SKY LIVE CLASH IS THAT WE GET THE LIVE TRANSMISSION FEE WHICH SOULD MAKE UP MUCH OF THE LOSS IN GATE REVENUE..
I thought all clubs got £x's from sky and only got more if they were on more than contracted? That would mean any drop in gates is a loss?
They do. It's only the Cup games where the money per game is from the first game. He also seems to have chosen to ignore the fact that Orient have to agree to any reduction so we probably couldn't have made them any lower than we have.
You could be correct on this one. Someone else mentioned this today at the game. Makes sense to reward passholders i guess. Not sure to be honest. but i thought that each live game got a match fee. As for the Orient game, i would suggest they would agree to a lower price if it helped there supporters out ? Gates always suffer just after xmas and new year normally. Many i would further suggest will give this game a miss if the £15 a ticket rings true for all adults.
You really need to stop living in this idealistic fantasy world you've got yourself into. Whether we like it or not the world revolves around money not around everybody being nice to each other, and it's got so far that way now that when somebody does do something nice for somebody else everybody else starts looking for selfish reasons and accusing them of all sorts. We can try and change it, which believe me I do, but that's how it is. So, without wanting to sound arrogant like the big club fans do, Orient get bugger all at home so they're not likely to bring many away regardless of price. They're going to be more interested in getting as much cash off us as possible, we're a terrible tie for them because they should lose the game but we're not big enough to give them a massive pot of cash from a sell out crowd and being on TV. A smaller crowd means lower running costs for the match to be deducted first, so they really are better off with 5k paying £15 than with 15k paying £5. Plus, if Orient reduce the travelling support for this game where they get half of the ticket money, it means their fans have got more money to keep going to their home games where they get all the ticket money.
Only IF you are not a season card holder. Glad to read that for season card holders its £10, £5, £1 subject to age. Well done City on this.
