Would far prefer him to Gameiro personally, doubt there's much chance of either happening though.

hmm 12mill is pricey but i guess we have to pay a premium getting him from chelski...I would still prefer Gamerio, sturridge has never been that prolific in the pl either is a risk at tht price tbh

We (Bolton) are 'keen' to loan him back to Bolton.
I don't know if Chelsea would sell him though considering he's the one to watch for the future.

I don't believe it really, he'd be a massive risk at £12m. We'd be better off taking him on loan first, either way I'd still like to see him at SJP.

Would rather have Gameiro for that price.

Guessing (if true) this means we've missed out on Gameiro

    Who are nufcfans?

And I'd rather have Sturridge over Gameiro, all day everyday.

I'm not so sure that decent half season is enough to say you'd want him over a prolific goalscorer who has been scoring goals for 4 seasons!

Yes Gameiro can score goals, but I'd worry about his height and strength, which are far more important in this league than Ligue 1.

Would prefer Sturridge to Gameiro, and about as much as Gervinho. Similarly sized risks IMO. Maybe this talk of a 15mil bid from Arsenal for Gervinho has put us off?

Would love to get Gameiro but would love it even more if we got Sturridge.

Yes at £12 mill a lot to pay but he is going to be a top player. Best opposition player against NUFC this season both home and away.

Don't think it will happen but will sit here dreaming for a while.

Hernandez, amongst others, have proven that height and strength don't necessarily mean ****.

If you USE height and strength in your style of play, then it helps. If you don't, then it's irrelevant.

Doesn't seem to do Javier Hernandez any harm

Height and especially strength have a lot more use than just winning aerial battles, and yes I am aware you can still do well without those aspects, but they increase the risk factor. I would just prefer we got a beastly striker in before getting a midget.

Depends entirely how you play. If you run at defenders and intend to keep possession, then strength and size are key. However, if your style is more about moving into the right positions and using agility to move around players without much contact, then it becomes a rather unimportant factor.

Gameiro would score more goals than Sturridge, hands down...

.. I also think he can hold the ball up better and then create for our increasingly stronger looking midfield, which, after losing the girly haired judas left is what we've lacked up top. The ball kept coming straight back.

No chance of #nufc landing Sturridge, for those asking, he's not on their list of targets.
