    Wilf Bony - £12m

    Appearances = League; 9 (7) League Cup; 1 Europa; 9
    Goals = League; 6 League Cup; 1. Europa 5

    So now it's £1,000,000 for every goal and just half a season in to his new job.

    Impressive isn't it? Shows that those in the know down the M4 (Sparkey and Co) who said that he was a duffer know **** all. Oh wait, we've got at least one of those haven't we? <laugh> Has anyone else noticed he's disappeared lately?

    Maybe you should both put each other on ignore Knackered? - too many posts are getting eaten up by unpleasant feuds. not pointing fingers or taking sides but everyone needs to ease off to let the decent football debates continue.
    Back to Bony - I was one of the doubters I have to admit but one of the real positives from yesterday was the ability he showed when he did get the ball. lets build on that and get a decent replacement in who can offer something different and leave Michu to play behind them in his prefered position.

    I agree with that exiled, but you've put your foot in it mate - I was talking about Daiswan of course, and he is on Ignore. <ok>

    But it's been well publicised by others that he's been highly critical of Bony, and therefore in the absence of a post from him acknowledging he had a good game yesterday I reserve the right to sideswipe. :) If he wasn't so damned condescending he wouldn't get himself into so much trouble.

    Just noticed on another thread that he actually gave MOM to Rangel rather than Bony. <laugh>

    'Fat' <laugh>

    He's built like a frigging monster. With the games we have in the second half of the season, if he gets the right service he could easily score 7-10 goals, especially against the sides below us. He's also our best defender at set pieces, so I'd expect the amount of goals we concede to be lower this half of the season.

    Does "not mean nothing". Is that your weird way of saying it does mean something?

    Man up for once in your life and admit you were wrong. You'd get a lot more respect if you did.

    Well said Ivor.

    Bony hasn't really had a single bad game for us but has been like a square peg in a round hole. Two factors made him shine yesterday: 1: The way Man City set up and 2: SERVICE!

    You only need to understand the basics of football to see that.

    I have felt so sorry for Bony this first season of his, our midfield have been crap with service to him, and Wednesday's game just shows what a great Striker he can be, if only our inept midfield stopped poncing around and gave him good service, I hope we are in for a Winger too that can ping a good cross into the box! Really pleased for Bony getting those goals against Citeh, should do his confidence the world of good!.........<ok>

    Bony brings so much more to the game apart from scoring, his hold up play yesterday was superb against seasoned defenders who for their trouble were booked because they were made to look ordinary at times ,they couldn't get the ball from him.His defensive clearance near always makes distance away from the danger area and he's starring to play little one two's . The way he created space to get his shots way against international defenders should be noted as well .The majority on here have identified what a signing we have ,it's taking more time perhaps then we'd have liked but he's set his standard now what he has to do now is to show it consistently against lesser opposition .
