That idea has been ongoing for a few years. If you work in the City you don't use a car, so the tax wouldn't apply. If you have a local job, then you're just being a lazy sshite. If you travel further a field, then the public transport Infrastructure needs some serious investment first, that could come from the fees, but we know it won't! And if it does, chicken and egg situation.
Exactly mate. No way could I get to and from work by public transport.
£11 a day to park at the Prince Bishops in Durham. I've bought a 125 now and can park in the city centre where they've got bike racks mainly for peddle bikes and it's free.
Get the ****ing bus.
Edit; write to the council, tell them to sort the ****ing buses out.
Welsh Hospitals have recently stopped charging visitors for car parking and Welsh prescriptions have been free for ages ...
And the hospitals have to cover the lost income generated from mainstream funding. Or cut the budgets the income generation was covering.
