No. These are the sort of links which are so lazy they don't even research the club's situation. Poor agent trying to drum up interest in his client imo
Dave might have a great poker-face, but.......haway, Coates value hasn't increased by that much.. surely ref.
With all the various reports that we're paying X amount for X player and then the noises from the club about no money, I'm prepared to keep an open mind about it all. I wouldn't be surprised if the "there's no money to spend" line is bollocks but neither would I be surprised if we only brought in free agents. What I definitely don't believe is the bit at the end that says that Moyes will be sacked if we don't get a good result against West Brom.
It sounds like bollocks to me but I've come to the conclusion that speculating is a waste of time and not even any fun in our apparent financial situation so I'm just going to wait and see. When you start putting together potential teams based on exciting players we're linked with and we end up signing Lescott and nobody else it's a good way to make yourself depressed.
I thought it was just another bollocks story. However, what I always think is interesting is when the report appears on a foreign newspaper, which this does. Here is the ropey translation from the Portuguese newspaper: "Andreas Samaris is very close to leaving Benfica to sign for Sunderland. The Sport to the Minute confirmed, with a source of the English club, that the agreement is with the club of the Light is sealed, being, however, dependent on the continuity (or not) of David Moye As reported by the British press in recent days, the future of the coach is now anything but safe, as, in addition to the 19th place in the Premier League, black cats were eliminated last Tuesday, England by Burnley. Thus, the next game, in the stronghold of West Bromwich Albion, acquires a decisive character for the stay of the Scot and, therefore, for the realization of the transfer of Samaris. In the event of a victory, David Moyes will receive an important oxygen balloon and the Greek international will be ordered to play the 27-year-old for the best league in the world. Sport to the Minute will bring you more details about the business this Friday."
The chances have now gone for moyes and Short, I await the new owner who that will be/when anybody knows, I will see this appalling season out but won't be back unless 100's of £millions is spent. Disaster owners and managers since 1973. And 'if' we lose to WBA hehe, by how many mate.
..............and on the day we survive Monty will be on shouting the odds on how he thought we would.
Lescott @ 34 would be far better than Pappy. He runs like his knees are sewn together, school boy errors every other game, canny left foot but worse than any centre half Ive seen over there.. We will go down with Papy in the team. Moyes will call a tune out of Lescott.
Maybe shove Papy in as a DM, only suggesting this because of his physical impact, not his footballing ability. Straw clutching here.
And play who CB? Papy is not and has never player CDM. He has enough troubles playing CB and posseses none of the qualities needed for CDM.
I got this same response when suggesting Denayer would make a better mid-field player than a center half, cant remember whether it was you or not but yeah thanks, were doing fine as it is, no problem. ktf.
Moving Papy into midfield won't suddenly change our fortunes. If you think it'd work, no problem, I don't, personally.
