    Good News

Getting out taking some time I get but why would you have to get there so early if your space is reserved? My dad doesn't drink but I think I might be on the verge of pursuading him. The downside; he plans to share his ticket with my step mum. Now dunner get me wrong, she's lovely but I cannot...

    Good News

How dare you Nicky! I would never raise a lad to be a Vale fan :emoticon-0102-bigsm Wouldn't care about the other two mind; live and let live. Might try and work on my dad a bit more. Does anyone have a season pass to the car-park immediately around the ground? I wondered how much it costs. I...

    Good News

It is great news but I might not be able to renew. My boy has broken my heart and announced that he doesn't want to come to any more games . I can't leave hubby with both kids and also wouldn't want to go on my own. My dad won't buy a season ticket. Life is cruel.

    Huth

Ricc, not like you to be so despondent. I couldn't make it to the game and have avoided MOTD. I don't think we'll implode. We've had episodes like this under Hughes before; all fluff, no substance. Defensively cack at times. There have been games in which we've been magnificent but not enough...

Look how far we have come...

I agree 're Shawcross; he is such a powerful influence. Although Wheelan is a very capable captain in his absence, Jack's immaturity and relative lack of experience (obvs he is still great), Wolli's, Wolli-ness and Wilson's unpredictability means we are disorganised in defence without him. Very...

    Bored of it all now.

Totally agree 're England fella; I think Wenger is inappropriately influential in the England set up and has been for years. I must have been hallucinating but I'm sure Adrian Durham has been critical of all fans for this type of chanting; calling Wenger out for not criticising his own fans for...

    Bored of it all now.

I would like Shawcross to say that he wants it forgotten now. I was embarrassed. My lad asked why I wasn't singing it (I'm normally very vocal) and I gave him the back story and he was really confused/baffled by why we'd want to draw attention to the incident. I agree with him.

I noticed the pitch seemed to be chopping up too. It has been very wet though. Ramsey is a twonk, but we've sunk to what he and Arsen have accused us of all along; thuggery. I enjoy the fierce atmosphere we can generate but it felt beyond that today.

    Bored of it all now.

I find myself fed up of the whole malarkey with Ramsey. We're the ones that are now continuing the animosity regarding this incident involving him and I think it plays into the hands of Arsen. Yes, Ramsey has perpetuated the antagonism by refusing to accept an apology off Shawcross, and Wenger...

    Dissertation help

I've done your survey; good luck with your dissertation and degree. I struggled as Stoke is a well run club and posts a profit. It is run to be viable in the longer term. Despite this, I can see other clubs over spending and this could lead to the 'doing a Leeds'

    Season's Greetings

It's certainly feeling like a merry Christmas now.

    remember this?

I love that. Have any of you read 'Tie me to the mast'? There is a transcript of that in the book and I read it at a day spa. Made me well up a touch.

    There you are then

I agree, he certainly has more potential and ability as a captain than the current incumbent.

    There you are then

My dad came with me; he said it bought to mind the Stoke of the 70's. Attacking flair and fearlessness. I had to persuade him to come but he was glad I did. Shawcross though also needs a mention. He had the defense really well organised and Man Citeh barely threatened our goal. For a team with...

    There you are then

Bloody awesome. Also, due respect to Joe Hart for joking along with us when we were giving him pelters all game.

    BOJANgles

Ricc, totally agree and I think it's because N'Zonzi has left. He's been given the role of play maker and he's living up to it.

    BOJANgles

It looks like Shaquri is finding his feet too. I remember last season it took Bojan until about December to start performing so hopefully we'll start seeing some more magic from him soon too. An aside, I think Shaquiri looks like Mr Strong, small, square and powerfully built. Just sayin'

    superb

I watched the game on 'game choice' last night. Listening to Ian Dowy's commentary had me shouting at the screen. The bias towards Southampton was staggering. He struggled to say many things positive about us but even a foul by a Southampton player was described as 's good foul'. Bojan's...

    Ricc - I was wrong...

Bloody hell Nic! I've just nearly fell off my sofa. What with the unexpected 3pts today and then you holding out the olive branch to Ricc; maybe I've stepped into an alternate reality. Whatever it is, I like it.
