Official Summer Signings / Rumours / Information Thread

The best attributes Henderson always had was his work rate and his willingness to get the ball. He never hid away last season and always put himself up for criticism/praise, that has to be admired. Add to that his improvement with the ball and his physical prowess I'm more than happy to have him...

£17m price tag slapped onto Carroll...

I'm new to these boards so don't know if the lad who posted this is just on a wind up or not. However I do agree with his point... I think we would be better off selling Carroll for £10m and then using that money to invest in the squad. That's better than having him on the bench or loaned out...

Why is Rio bonfire song racist?

Will go back to my original point. We all forgive (or just ignore) our own players their discrepancies while we're all to happy to use those of other teams' players as forms of abuse. 99% of the time it's nothing to do with race, morals or whatever else - it's purely down to blind loyalty...

Why is Rio bonfire song racist?

Don't know mate. Might hang around. Anyway, let's end on a joke: Hazard/Ballboy incident... 'The ballboy should be thankful it was Hazard who had a swipe and not one of the other Chelsea players. If it was Terry he would have shagged him and Cole would have shot him. Still, if it was Torres...

Why is Rio bonfire song racist?

People have been calling Ferdinand's character into question and stating that is the reason he gets stick at your place, rattling off lists of his misdemeanours. Thought I should just point out your captain's moral compass is slightly skewed as well. People in glass houses and all that...

Why is Rio bonfire song racist?

I agree Suarez should have been banned. I don't agree or understand why he got a harsher ban than Terry though. And my other point? You care what Wayne Bridge thinks?

Why is Rio bonfire song racist?

Wasn't Terry cleared on a legality? The FA seemed convinced enough to hand out a ban. That instance aside we can still rattle of plenty of other examples of Terry's low morals and poor behaviour, as I'm sure you're aware. Yet still your support for him stands firm.

Why is Rio bonfire song racist?

And did your support for Terry decrease after he called fellow footballer Anton Ferdinand a ******? No. Didn't think so. My point is that your opinion on Ferdinand/Terry isn't to do with how they act, it's all to do with the shirt they wear on a Saturday. Stop trying to get the moral...

Why is Rio bonfire song racist?

Ok. Good points and I happen to agree with you on those issues. But... Did the majority of Chelsea fans boo him before the Terry/Anton issue? My point is, isn't Chelsea's dislike of Ferdinand more to do with blind loyalty to Terry rather than those issues you pointed out in your reply. Don't...

Why is Rio bonfire song racist?

Hi, I happened onto this message forum this morning after Googling about Ferdiand, Di Canio, Bofire etc. I am a Liverpool fan and have an equal dislike for Chelsea and Man United. My question is, why do Chelsea dislike Rio so much? You're all spending so much time saying how much hate...
