    Oh Santi Cazorla....

Well said. Perhaps overlooked (in terms of importance) because some people expect goals out of everyone all the time. His contributions are often in the build up and the media in particular overlook that, and of course, it is the most important factor in any team goal. He's a team player as...

    Our GoalKeeping Situation....

I agree completely. Ospina/Szczesny are a top class 1 and 2. Very few teams in Europe have a better pairing.

If Chelsea won't sell Cech to us, is there any WC keeper that is available?

    Transfer Rumours Transfer Rumours Thread

I think Schneiderlin is Alsatian just like Arsene which could prove to be the deciding factor in signing him if some other top clubs go for him. He's the signing I want us to make the most as I don't see Arteta, Flamini, or even Wilshere as adequate competition for Coquelin.

Match Day Thread Arsenal vs. Manchester City Official Match Thread

Lovely post. You think Welbeck is going to start ahead of Sanogo? I predict another draw. Maybe a nil-nil. BTW, where in the USA are you Oxo?

I don't know anything about Manolas aside from reports of him being "promising". Anyone care to enlighten me regarding his strengths/weaknesses. Comparable to any of our current CB's? Ball playing defender? Is he a tackler like Kos or a traditional CB? I know nothing about the Greek league.

    ThE YeAr Of ThE RAM!

Bumping the thread. What is everyone's predictions for him this year? Lovely climax to his incredible season with the winning goal in the Cup. I love everything about him, finishing, he's got an engine, tackling, passing, he does everything well. Is 2004/2015 the YEAR OF THE RAM? My...

I realise it's well after midnight in the UK but whatever happened to Coquelin. I haven't followed him in recent years but at one point he was considered a promising DM. Is he even close to the talent we need at that position?

    Rival Watch / Other Teams

Part of me is actually hoping United don't lose today. A lose at home against Swansea would make it four in a row. I could see Moyes being immediately fired it that were to happen. This opens up the possibility of United bringing in a quality manager that could make them scary again. I'd rather...

You have got to love Tomas Rosicky.

I agree with both you and Hans. If he's holding out for silly money it's probably best to cut him loose. On the other hand, if he's willing to be paid the wages of a 33 yo squad player, I say keep him and the positivity and experience he brings to the club. Also, I don't think he's the type to...

    QPR interested in Bendtner?

He's really not a bad player, don't know if he'd fit in with your club but is certainly talented enough to play in the Championship. He's on something like 50k/week at Arsenal which probably just fuels his already inflated ego. In a two striker system I could see him being a very decent...

Any Gooners have a second club?

Anyone here have a fondness for a club other than Arsenal? Not the passion that ruins your weekend when they lose but a passive affection that has you checking the fixture list or results for another club. I'll go first: Wigan - promoted the same season I truly became an Arsenal fan...

Could Serge Gnabry be Germany's surprise World Cup inclusion?

Agreed. I think Gnarby looks to have a lot of potential but Germany has buttloads of young attacking midfielders who are getting games in the Bundesliga. Off the top of my head, I can think of Draxler, Reus, meyer, bittencourt and there is probably a dozen more.

    ThE YeAr Of ThE RAM!

Just watched this vid about Rambo's comeback from injury and his phoenix like rise from the ashes (okay, that was too much). Anyway, a lot of the highlights that emphasize his physicality which is an aspect of his game that's been overlooked in light of his goal scoring. Check 2:45 for him...

Arsenal vs Norwich City: Match Thread.

I've always thought "the lad is brimming with confidence" was a dumb sports cliche. But honestly, I really can't think of a better description of Ramsey over the last month or so. Best midfielder in Europe at the moment. Absolute class.

Another priceless interview with Joey Barton!

Yeah, it's funny because I have absolutely no gripes about the US team. They're hardworking and have got some great results over the past few years. I've even been criticized for not supporting them enough but I simply can't be bothered to care. The only plus side I'm seeing is the growing...

Another priceless interview with Joey Barton!

I think it's a combination of many things. For example, and I mean no offense, England fans are hopelessly pessimistic. I once read somewhere that "there are two kinds of England games, the 'false dawn' and the 'reality check'". I think that sums up the feelings of many fans. There's also the...

Another priceless interview with Joey Barton!

Agreed. Also, I think Jack came out sounding like an idiot. Even parroting that "tough in the tackle" English bulldog nonsense. Oddly enough, I support England because the US national team doesn't interest me. There's none of the "soap opera" entertainment like you get with England. As for the...

Another priceless interview with Joey Barton!

He was surprisingly insightful and eloquent. I know this won't be popular as I'm a foreigner and an Arsenal fan but he's right about the English FA and young English players. There seems to be no new ideas or creativity coming out of the youth set up. I know this idea would be met with a lot of...
