    It starts at the back!

Who'd have believed a few short weeks ago we'd have the in form back four?! Three back to back clean sheets. Considering they include Boro and WHU away, that's the most impressive aspect of our current form. Keep it up, get Chopra firing again and don't get hit with too many injuries; can we...

    "The elusive formula" !!!

That's a mighty relief then; apparently it's just about the formula - phew! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14888249.stm There was me thinking it was about winning games and picking your best starting 11 from amongst the players you work with every day. How naive of me! Can...

Blackpool vs Ipswich Town match thread

Venue: Bloomfield Road Date: Saturday, 10 September Kick-off: 1500 BST With a win over Leeds on our last outing, have we 'stopped the rot', having leaked 5 against the Saints and then 7 against Posh before that? The arrival of Sonko, Murphy and Bullard have provided much needed...

    Blues on International Duty

Interesting to see see just how many of our squad are in contention. I do find it amusing that Delaney is on the bench as O'Dea is preferred! Says it all really. Priskin and Peters don't feature in Paul Jewell's plans but, at least they might get to stretch their legs. Lets hope the others...

Just a moment in time but......

I know all the clichés; "wait til the frost kicks in", "give it at least 15 games", "this division is so volatile you can climb or drop from anywhere over just a few weeks" etc etc. BUT the table after just 2 or 3 games does actually look like many people's pre season predictions already...

I know there was some chat about this a few weeks back but, I can't recall the thread. Has anyone set up a private league for us of any description? Thanks.

    From Delirium to Despair!

I started this thread on the Ipswich board but, thought you might have some fun with it too, in terms of best and worst memories of following your clubs..... In the close season, whilst there's little current to talk of bar transfer rumours and the odd transfer fact, it's a good opportunity...

    From Delirium to Despair!

In the close season, whilst there's little current to talk of bar transfer rumours and the odd transfer fact, it's a good opportunity to share memories of things past. Often these relate to glory and memories of great successes and happy times (unless you're a budgie!) But, I wonder what your...

    Troy Brown to Rotherham

Good luck to the lad as he wasn't going to get much first-team action with us next season. Hope this works out for him. Looks like a good move and a team like Rotherham might just suit him. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13997079.stm

Simon Clegg foresees more Ipswich Town deals

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13901840.stm I'm encouraged by this part........ Paul Jewell, told the club website: "I want to let the supporters know that we have a lot of business to do yet" and Clegg's quote of "The fans probably want to see us signing five, six, seven players...

    Living beyond our means?

Train smash on the way? This is simply unsustainable (isn't it?) and frankly its not the top boys that will suffer (though ultimately the economic model says they have to too), it's the lesser clubs who catch a cold from the fall out of these ridiculous wages. Nonetheless an interesting article...
