Moon Racer won the bumper at this meeting last year and then followed up at The Festival in March but, yes, TNO also won at both in the season he won The Neptune in such breath taking fashion.

It's an absolute joy to see racing back at Cheltenham as that can mean only one thing............the NH season is starting to move up a gear! My biggest bet of the day is BALLYKAN in the 3.55. I loved the way this one jumped at Chepstow and, of course, Nige likes to have a winner or two at his...

The Not606 NH 10 To Follow Competition 2015-16

Thanks Oddy for allowing subs at this stage. I need to replace one of mine who I have heard is likely to be out for the whole season. Can I, therefore, replace Val De Law with DOUVAN please? Thanks

    Aiden Coleman assaulted at Southwell

Apparently, the idiots who did this had earlier been refused service at the bars due to the state they were in. Begs the question why they were still allowed to be on course if they were bad enough to warrant that. If you're deemed to be drunk at a football ground you are ejected and, indeed, if...

Sedgefield 4.25: LITTLE POP STD travels all the way up there for just this one ride, for his Dad, and the stable usually do well with Chasers on debut. Certainly worth taking on the short-priced favourite with this one!

I like the look of SEEK THE FAIR LAND too (Kempton 6.15). Pearl Noir should ensure that there's a good pace set in this race and this will suit this one. Back off a mark he has won off the last twice, he looks good e/w value at 8/1.

I have to agree about Aficionado. I was at Worcester last Sunday when he was beaten by Champion Court. The horse idled that day when he hit the front and Dr Newland did not look too impressed. Off the same mark, and assuming Will Kennedy plays him as late as possible, I think compensation awaits...

Multiview (Stratford 8.30) is an each-way bet to nothing at 5/1. Top jockey on board this progressive looking horse.

    King Kauto RIP

I was privileged enough to see Kauto live and 'in the flesh' just twice and, in truth, they weren't two of his finest hours (AON Chase in 2007 and King George in Jan 2011) but he gave me so much pleasure over the years whenever I watched him on TV. As others have said, the Betfair and King...
