Honestly, l do not see the point of playing Armstrong as a lone striker. Not having a go at Armstrong, he is just not equipped for that role. It's like we have played the first half with 10 players.

Was there not a report a couple of weeks back that if he were to go, he would prefer it would to be to Europe, rather then the EPL? Or am l confusing with someone else?

The optics of him, an Armenian, leaving Russia to play in England, will not sit well with the Russin Government. Armenia making strong moves away from Russia towards the West and the UK being pretty much No.1 hated nation over Ukraine... please don't tell me politics will not come into this.

Towards the end of that unbeaten run in the Championship and through to the Leeds Utd play-off final, l felt we got that far despite Russel Martin, rather than because of him. The quality in the squad was, for me, the deciding factor.
