Official Ralph Hasenhüttl is saints boss (merged with DTLW's)

Not a gambler mate so no chance of me winning anything on the lottery !

Official Ralph Hasenhüttl is saints boss (merged with DTLW's)

All this glee on here, personally never heard of this guy and he will still have the same bunch of defenders to work with for over the next month at least so im not expecting much different myself. Hope he turns out well for Saints BUT i will be surprised ( and happy ! ) if he keeps us afloat...

I find this a terribly odd opinion ! ffs the guy has achieved all sorts, surely he has to be regarded as some sort of good LTL ! ?

Match Day Thread Man City v Southampton Sunday 4th November 3pm

We are Southampton and we are playing away against a very strong Man City side, so only one outcome you would think. But who knows just maybe one or two of these chances that we have been creating will actually go in today .... COYS !

    Our Next 6 League Games

Gosh bronze you reckon we will score 6 goals over these 6 games ! ? It is so long since i saw Saints score that i think i wud be carted off to the General if your predication came true. Who is going to score these goals then - 6 OG's perhaps !

    Saints Next Manager (re-appoint)

The initial list is very odd imo with no Chris Nichol nor Lawrie McMenemy, the two managers who achieved Saints highest ever league position and who actually won a major cup ! Alan Ball was tempted by big money offered by Man City unfortunately, and this proved to be a big mistake for him...

Match Day Thread Southampton v Newcastle Saturday 27th October 3pm

Agree with all you write here, only thing i would say is that Terry Paine WASNT usually kicked out of the game as he was so skillful and could evade crude tackles most times. I wonder how many of today's superstars could perform at the level Paine used to on a regular basis if they were...

Match Day Thread Bournemouth v Southampton Saturday 20th October 3pm

Exactly. Surely best to give Hughes a bit of time to get Saints winning games imo, we are not playing so badly overall, its not like last season or even the end part of the season before. If they get shot of Hughes now and get someone who is half good, he will be off in a years time just like...

Know what u mean but maybe the salary would motivate you ! Saints played pretty well today apart from not getting the bloody ball in the net. Hughes did ok today.

True, but they had to adapt and they did - as is often the case in in rain affected ODI's, its part of the game.

England have walked it, again. They really are a good ODI side now, such an improvement on the last WC.

    Saints Stuff

Oh Beddy i would give my back teeth, not that anybody would want them these days, for some players like those guys now ! They were all cultured, skillful but hard footballers and pretty decent guys when out on p... too. Another of that time who would do wonders for our present team was Ivan...

    Saints Stuff

The scouser midfielder - i assume you mean Jimmy Case ? A fine player and gave a few good years to Saints, deaf as a door post but what a footballer. In those early 80's teams, that achieved good things and played terrific attacking football we had quite a few older internationals who were...

Dont wish your life away TLL, you will have loads of experiences of your own. Up Shirley High St, think its called the Brass Monkey or something these days. Much changed around there now, Bristol St Motors/Hendy Ford garage used to be just up from the pub but its all new flats there now. Holt &...

A game i will never forget was against Newcastle at The Dell in 1995 - we were one nil down with about 3 minutes to go and ended up winning 3-1 ! I remember Watson scored the 2nd goal. The old place was rocking ! Me and my other half went to the Rising Sun on Shirley High St on the way home...

    Match Day Thread Everton v Southampton - EFL Cup 3rd Round - Tuesday, 2nd October 2018 19:45

Exactimento ! We are Southampton FC ffs, its not meant to be easy, never has been. Like many football supporters some of the opinions etc you read on this and other fan sites make you shake your head in wonderment. St Godders appears to be an older supporter like me so he must have seen it...

How many times have i seen us lose at Everton over the years !! Well done Saints ! Lets hope this inspires them to better league performances, and convinces the gaffer that some of these squad players are worth a place in the first 11.

    The Cricket Thread

Im a Hampshire fan but im delighted for Worcestershire. Great to see a 'smaller' county win a major competition. The ticket allocation for Finals Day seemed damn wrong to me with the four counties only receiving 500 tickets each for a 25,000 ground. Ive been to a couple of Finals Days when we...
