I actually think we are by far the 2nd best side in the league at the moment. Last 20 games City only have 6 points more than us, and they've won 17/20. We have 8 more than Man Utd, 9 on Spurs, 10 on Chelsea.

Cleverley, Gibson, Anderson et al. were never going to reach the desired level at Man Utd, and Giggs & Scholes were on the verge of retirement. Not giving Pogba enough games to gain experience and keep him happy was obviously a massive mistake.

Nevertheless, still funny though.

If I had Pogba's ability and Cleverley, Anderson, Carrick and a midfield pairing with the combined age of 172 in Scholes & Giggs were picked ahead of me then I'd be pissed off too.

To be fair City players are being punished for it while others who are doing it against them, aren't. And bad tackles seem to be made on City players every week, can't say I've seen City players regularly making bad tackles throughout the season.

People bleat about us being inconsistent but we've lost 3 games in the league all season, that's less than anybody bar City. We're still undefeated in the CL and scoring record amount of goals. The only reason we don't look as we are having a good season is because City have broken all records...

5 wins out of 5 is perfection. If you'd be sat here whinging about conceding 2 in a 3-2 win then you can **** right off. Imagine watching the City win and your first thought is "Wow I can't believe we conceded 3 goals"

Spurs didn't sign anyone until 2 games into the season. There's no way you can claim they were looking stronger in the summer because they hadn't made any signings.

He was signed to score goals, I don't think Klopp and co. are surprised that he is doing what he was bought to do.

Its also a bit silly to say we weren't close to 4th place in the summer. Considering we'd finished 4th the previous season and added Robertson, Salah & Oxlade Chamberlain to the squad with only squad players leaving in the other direction. And "there's not a lot seperating us and Arsenal"...

I think Aubameyang is ineligible for the Europa, so it leaves them with pretty much no strikers for the last 32 and last 16 games? Seeing as that's their best way back into the CL next season its a blow, imo. Well, unless you class Welbeck as a striker, but I don't think anyone does these days.

To be honest though traditionally our European games do follow this pattern. The Anfield factor tends to overwhelm teams but the away leg is always tough.

I reckon even 2-1 is a good result. Away goal and Italian sides don't travel all that well in Europe, in my opinion.

Feels like this is a bit of an overreaction to being 2-1 down at HT in the first leg away at Juventus, to be honest.
