Match Day Thread Brighton v Saints Sunday 29th October 13:30pm - Goals galore thread.

Pellegrino is a naturally cautious manager I think. I don’t think we will win many games by more than a single goal during his tenure. Not surprised how little impact, in a positive sense, he has had on the team.

Just imagine what the press would have written if it was Corbyn instead of May today.

Stand down chaps, everything is perfect. Not allowed an opinion or to criticise the team we all pay money to go and watch. In all seriousness Tom, thought Mike Jones had a good game today

We are such a safe, passive, and conservative team. No invention, no risks, and very predictable. And dull, very dull.

We had 2 shots on target in that second half, with all that possession. Just goes to show it means nothing.

Thought he had a good game - did all he could do help us get a goal at the end.

Match Day Thread Saints vs Watford 09/09/2017 3PM KO

I thought we were terrible, but I'm not really surprised because it has been the same story at St Marys for such a long time now - and the signs are that our inability to score is spreading to the away games too. Lemina had to play yesterday, and certainly should've come on at half time where...

Anyone know the latest on coaching staff? Currently away on holiday, so any updates would be gratefully appreciated,

    Saint Mauricio!

"Strong and stable" - never thought I would nod in approval at that phrase. Welcome Mauricio - sounds like a kind of manager who will galvanise the team and get us playing as a team again.

Remember we have just spent millions paying off Claude. Totally unnecessary decision this in my view, but it's done and have to back the new man.

I just think he has probably taken them as far as he can - 4 and half years there and can leave with reputation enhanced. Palace have a bit of money behind them, and I think his family are still based down South so that would appeal to him. I may be wrong, just my feeling.

Tim Sherwood is used to managing a side in claret and blue - and is available. Everyone happy.

I reckon Palace will get Dyche, and Saints will appoint De Boer, and most people will be reasonably satisfied.

The Next Manager Thread - (Summer of 2017)

In simple terms, it is difficult to see how Pellegrino would be an upgrade on Claude: Claude finished 8th, reached the League Cup final and we scored 41 goals, playing some pretty negative football. Pellegrino finished 9th, reached the Copa Del Rey final and scored 41 goals, playing some...
