Big game next week against Swansea, Comm. You've got Chelsea after that, you need three points against the Welsh team.

Bournemouth recover from being 3-1 down to beat Liverpool 4-3.....cracking result for Bournemouth which relieves the pressure on them and takes them further away from those dreaded relegation places. Not a good result for those down down near the bottom.

There is potential for more hilarity/glow today. Sunderland might be forced to 8-10m for that Ricky Alvarez character. I wonder how Davey's transfer budget will look if so. I'm sure that the two have been accounted for separately according to Honest Ellis.

Davey is a no lose situation really. Either he ****s it up and Short retains him out of pigheadedness having head hunted him for 3 years (he head hunted David Moyes <laugh>). Result. Or he does well and immediately leaves for the Scotland job when Strachan leaves. Sunderland back in the ****e.

All in all there is always a bit of time to add to the thread about Sunderland's misfortune. Before we get the obsessed remarks borefest for keeping this fire burning, I freely admit I am mildly obsessed with laughing at our neighbours misfortune

Yes, yes, but I think you will find that Sunderland have won more titles in the premier league of English football than Newcastle have.
By the way, that is 'the premier league of football', as in the highest division across all timelines, not 'The Premier League', which was a specific label only introduced in recent years, for the current highest division. <ok>

We had lunch earlier today in Newcastle with a lovely elderly couple that we know from Sunderland. That still doesn't stop me from enjoying today's stunning results <cheers>

You are 100% correct , for the very first time in its illustrious history the English Premier league has in fact been given the name Premier League

Has there ever in the whole history of English football ever been a bunch of supporters with such a paranoid fear of having to face an opposing team ?
Have you considered an open letter to the rest of the teams in the Premier league to protect you from such a happening
Can you point me to one Sunderland supporter that when faced with a game against Newcastle does not immediately say " Bring it on " not so from your average Newcastle supporter praying that in some way they can avoid such a meeting, I can understand you being fed up of being bullied by Sunderland in local derbies but surely you must realise the mistakes you made at school and start to stand up for yourselves by facing the problem and growing a pair

PS When I mention Sunderland supporters that does not include Quisling Comm
