    1) Simon Grayson said "transfer activity has been slow as we are looking to sign Quality over quantity". Browne certainly wasn't quality and less than 24 hours before kick off Grayson brings in a center back and plays him at left back. This same player not having played a single minute in pre-season for us - Does Grayson believe fans will believe he signed quality over quantity?

    2) Lonergran said Leeds were always first choice wages were not an issue. On a radio Interview yesterday Stockdale says that Leeds were his choice but complications halted his move to Elland Road. All reports suggested that Lonergran had fell through due to wage demands, we were obviously after Stockdale so what happened there, who is fibbing and why not take Stockdale on loan and Lonergran as back-up?

    3) Grayson has said several times that releasing players like Kilkenny and Johnson and selling Kasper has enabled him to hang on to star players like Gradel and Snodgrass. First why have we not offered Gradel a new contract then and second why should that be the case? We know we have large gate receipts and we pay more to watch a game? Why should we need to take 1.5 million in a transfer fee to hold onto players with an already small sized playing staff

    4) Kasper was sold as defence was part of the problem last season, so why did we grab a converted CB on loan at the last minute and convert him to LB why were the defensive issues not sorted earlier? Already we have let in three and could have been five.

Southampton only just promoted, hold their best players and add Jack Cork a cracking looking player. Ipswich smaller gates than Leeds they sign Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Nathan Ellington, Ivar Ingimarsson and Michael Chopra. I could go on and on about supposed 'smaller' teams signing some quality while we scrape the bottom of the barrel and end up with O'Dea on loan, hatchet man in midfield and two like for like Keepers to replace the two outgoing ones...

    Ipswich signed Bowyer as well.

It's even worse having to sell a player and trim the fat of players on the lower wages out of the playing staff just to keep the star players who themselves are on relatively low wages compared to the rest of the Championship.

That £7 million on that ****bag bates calls an investment should have been spent on wages and transfer fees. £4 mill on transfer fees and the other 3 mill would have increased the wage kitty significantly, + the 1.5 mill from the Schmeichel sale and you have the means to buy the players allowing us to walk the league.

A deal was in place to bring Bowyer here but he turned Grayson down.

Grayson said he chose to sell Schmeichel because he wasn't good enough.

I left Bowyer out on purpose as it was family reasons and distance issues with Leeds as to why he never joined. Clivetime please don't turn this into a hate Grayson thread go and start your own please. Nowhere have I mentioned is Grayson good enough, this is a debate on why the lack of transfer activity and who is covering for who...

If you feel "Grayson thinks the squad is good enough" and that he has the cash and he has decided not to sign players and you think he is lying when he states the need to trim/release/sell in order to keep the Gradels and Snoddy's then say so but not mindless "I just hate Grayson dribble"...

It's not about what I feel, it's what he's said!

Time will tell, but where as before I would have said I am 75% convinced Grayson will take us to the premiership, now I am not even 50% sure he will lead us there. Football is a funny business nowadays. Failure seems to get rewarded in some ways. Most of the managers apart from Ferguson and Wenger are just on a continual merry go round. (or jobs for the boys, call it what you like) Could we really attract anyone better than Grayson considering the constraints they would be under. Sure there would always be somebody happy enough to take the dosh ala Pardew at Newcastle (makes lapdog larry look an amateur) Grayson's saving grace is the fans like him because of his love for leeds. He will be starting to get some tough love if he doesn't grow a pair and demand some money to improve the squad.
