It's a bit of a local derby. You can fly direct from London Stansted to Dortmund for about 80 quid.

I would prefer a midweek game under the lights.

Has to be a champions league game so. Lets see who they get when the draw is made - could be City, PSG, Real Madrid etc.

Good luck getting a ticket for one of those games.

I often go to Vitesse Arnhem games, it's only the other side of the border to Dortmund actually. Dutch football fans are absolute nuts.

If you fancy a couple of days, I'll take yous to an Arnhem game to sample the atmosphere and then a train ride to Dortmund ;)

Thanks for the offer. I know Dortmund is close to the border. I met plenty of Dutch fans in Lille during the Summer during the Euros. Even though they didn't qualify, quite a few of them travelled to Lille for a bit of craic with the Irish fans. I also went to see QPR V PSV Eindhoven in a pub in Amersfoort with the Dutch Superhoops after it was played behind close doors this Summer. I stayed in a hotel in Arnhem. Are tickets for Dortmund games genuinely hard to get? I know they are well supported within Germany.

For a league game, you should be okay. Unless it's against Bayern, then it could become complicated again.

I just know my mate tried to get out there for a champions league game but failed to get a ticket. That's only one game, and one example, though <laugh>

Just checked their fixtures and they are home to Eintracht Frankfurt and Hamburg, in April. I'd imagine you would be okay, for either of them.

I get wrong for supporting Arnhem. Sunderland have an affinity with Feyenoord. Hundreds of their fans come over for all of our games and vice versa. I should really be supporting them, but went to Arnhem to see the bridge that we were fighting on during the war and fell in love with the place.

OK thanks for the advice. I have only been to Sunderland once and it was a lucky trip. I was one of the 394 QPR fans who went there on a Tuesday night in our last Premiership season to see us win 0-2. I have family living in Fencehouses. All my direct family there are QPR fans but their in-laws are all Sunderland fans. Great people the Makems.

Fencehouses is only about 7 or 8 miles from me. I'm also a Geordie, not a Mackem :emoticon-0112-wonde

Yeah Leroy Fer had a decent game that night. I have already been back a couple of times to visit family there lol. A Sunderland fan saying Geordies are much better? That's a first :emoticon-0102-bigsm.

Faces around St Mary's are as gloomy as the south coast sky. Three minutes of stoppage time to create a footballing miracle.

I see Leeds got off to a Massive start at Brighton tonight - Handball on the goal line, Phillips Red Carded, Penalty scored - Leeds now playing the rest of the match with 10 men. So a bit like our Norwich match where we just squeaked through 2-1

If we don't get anything out of our trip to Rotherham tomorrow, we really are in deep trouble as a club.

    GOAL (Murray)
    Brighton 1-0 Leeds
    Posted at 23 mins

Brighton striker Glenn Murray makes no mistake from the spot, sending Leeds keeper Rob Green the wrong way from 12 yards.
That is the on-loan Bournemouth man's 12th league goal of the season - and they've all come at the Amex Stadium.
Albion are a goal up and have 65 minutes to play against 10 men.

LEEDS RED CARD & BRIGHTON PENALTY
    Brighton 0-0 Leeds
    Posted at 23 mins

From the corner, Brighton win a spot kick and Leeds go down to 10 men.
The delivery is deep, Lewis Dunk gets round the back and flicks the ball goalwards.
Kalvin Phillips is there on the line and handles. Referee Paul Tierney spots it and Phillips is shown a red card.
Albion have a spot-kick and Glenn Murray will take it.

Watching the rugby Northampton against leinster.....10-3 to leinster at ht.......

Have to say what a nice looking ground Franklin gardens looks.....would be ideal for us and would probably fit on the current Loftus road footprint.....

Another Brighton penalty against 10 man Leeds - Rob Green again dives to the wrong side 2-0

Like us against Norwich, Brighton made a bit of a meal of this game given the man advantage for so long.

Leinster ran away with the game in the end 37-10.....but problem for England coach Eddie Jones as his skipper Dylan Hartley was red carded for a deliberate swinging arm......Jones did not look amused...

Leicester 3 Man City 0 after just 20 mins.

Joe Hart, Pep, Bravo is crap?

Apparently........"Man City's last 91 Premier League games AWAY when losing at half-time, dating back to April 1995: Won 0 Drawn 11 Lost 80"

GOAL - Leicester 3-0 Man City

    Jamie Vardy (20 mins)

    Un. Be. Leivevable.

Leicester have netted three goals in the opening 20 minutes against Manchester City.

Foxes defender Christian Fuchs goes long with a ball up top to Riyad Mahrez, who brilliantly carresses a first-time touch through to Jamie Vardy on goal.

"When did Claudio Bravo last save a shot?" Ian Warburton asks on #bbcfootball.

Is he better than Joe Hart? I ask you.

Seen nothing so far to suggest he is.

GOAL - Leicester 2-0 Man City
    Andy King (5 mins)

    Posted at13:35
    That's why they're champions.

I asked how Man City will respond. In the worst possible fashion.

Robert Huth goes up into the opposite area and wins a header again.

It finds Islam Slimani, who touches it off to Andy King on the edge of the box.

The Welshman sizes up the target and curls an effort into the roof of the net.

City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo gets a hand to it and should push it away, but can only palm into his own net. Poor, poor goalkeeping.

What a start to this match. Extraordinary.

GOAL - Leicester 1-0 Man City
    Jamie Vardy (3 mins)

    Posted at13:32
Ten league games without scoring... is over.

Leicester man Jamie Vardy was on a dreadful run, but he puts this chance away.

It's Robert Huth who wins a towering header which reaches Riyad Mahrez.

Last season's PFA Player of the Year passes it on to Islam Slimani, who plays a lovely weighted pass through to the Englishman.

Vardy takes a touch and makes no mistake with his finish, drilled low into the net past Claudio Bravo.

Preston, less a pair of red carded strikers, still managing to score goals (2 courtesy of Daniel Johnson), helping us out, as other teams did today, to keep another potential relegation candidate, Blackburn, down with us. Perhaps our lot need a good punch-up to allow us to bring in someone new who can actually score goals.

Sol Bamba tussled with Cardiff manager Neil Warnock after being sent off against Ipswich

Cardiff's Sol Bamba was involved in a confrontation with manager Neil Warnock after being sent off during their Championship draw at Ipswich.

Bamba was dismissed for his angry reaction to a tackle, and confronted the referee and fourth official.

Warnock attempted to restrain him as he approached the touchline and, after words were exchanged between the pair, Bamba pushed his manager's arm away.

Cardiff had the better chances to win the game after Bamba's dismissal.

Crap goalie Bravo out-FOXED again, Vardy hat-trick, fine angled finish, Leicester cruising along 4-0 up.

Pep needs to take him out to the woodshed and bring back Joe Hart.

City get a consolation goal late on.

FT 4-2 Richard Dunne on the BT Sports post-match analysis team.

We need him back to help us, plus Clint, OBZ, HH.

Chicken chokers made it 2-2 at Preston, who have just gone 3-2 up to help keep them below us in the table standings.

FT 3-2 Preston - thanks guys.
