Quite gutting. We should've put them away when we were in front. Palace have a cracking little side, if they could defend they'd be nowhere near the bottom
Remember Blackpool a few years ago? If we go down, I want to go down like they did, giving it a ****ing go.
Think it goes to show the players aren't that **** after all. Play the right ones in the right system and boom. 3 goals and probably should have won it. More of the same. Despite the result I don't even find it disheartening after the recent run of absolute ****e from Phelan. Wish he'd done what so many were saying about 4 games ago! Also, small qualm, why sub Clucas for Henriksen at the end? Baffled me.
On another note the only 'new' signing in the starting 11 today was the keeper and he had a good game. The Marshall knocking can end now.
Only we could score 3 goals, as the lowest scoring side in the premier league and still not win! A points a point, and we're still only 3 points behind Palace in 14th. Sunderland down to the bottom of the table and within West Ham against Liverpool tomorrow, if they get battered we could move into 18th
Have to give it to Huddlestone today, he was superb. Thought Robertson had a good game too and Snodders was good and a little bad, ran all day as usual and didn't give up on anything. I was just saying to myself Dio really isn't a striker, then he go and does that, total strikers goal, Phelan needs to capitalise on that.
I certainly ain't disheartened by that performance at least more positives today what a change that is. Some fantastic goals too. all that was missing was the win. Over all we played some good stuff, some confident stuff.
MotM thread will be difficult... Snodgrass, not just the running but the passes he was threading through from a more central position were top class. Dive was ****e though. Clucas, ran the show for much of it. Huddlestone, picked out some excellent passes. Maguire, offered a way out of defence and gave them lots to think about. IMO the biggest improvement to our performance as it gave us more drive and options. Diomande, proved doubters wrong because he actually had some ****ing service for once. Robertson, provided good service, drove us forward often and was steady at the back. Dawson, generally dealt well with tricky attackers. Elmo, mixed bag. Some good service some poor service but gave us an outlet going forward. Marshall, good game with some good saves. Couldn't have done anything about the 3 conceded. Livermore, some sloppy moments but kept pushing forward and had a great run and finish for his goal. Davies, a relatively steady game but he let us down a bit with their equaliser. Should have had it covered really. Henriksen... meh.
even though there are many many positives at the moment i can't see any, so ****ing gutted need to simmer down
Huddlestone's had to be patient, probably many would have written him off and he's really taken his chance
