I can go along with Chris3Oct to a big degree, it is good to be prudent and yes this year is a ( bigger) gamble too....staying up is number 1 (we may attract a new investor...and then anything goes) but if we do go down don't do it the Pompey way because that would kill the club forever, we only just survived the last time. What I am objecting is the complete lack of respect from Flav, Plav and the Ecclescake for us the fans but in a way even worse they do not have any respect for the NW and the team.....because, whatever you lot say, it was not the board (neither Bhatia nor FPE, although give them their due, the have to some degree stabilised the financial position) who got us into the Premiership it was Neil's team and tactics and vision. And that is what will keep us up too. Sorry too many brackets in that posting But please Chris keep posting, you make us think
if it was going to happen it needed to be as soon as the players returned to training having it now would be a waste of time
Chris, I agree your point of view wasn't given respect. Don't take this board too serious though mate itâs full of a bunch of guys with no link to the club; take themselves too seriously, and only interested in their own opinions. Cerny is quality though, regardless if he actually has an insight to the goings on at the club or not. The fact that all the members are so desperate to believe him is hilarious!
Maybe Thursday is the day! They may also announce sponsors, the takeover by a tycoon and the removal of Paladin. Or they might just announce we've signed Brian Murphy.
Chris, when you post controversial (some would say deliberately risible) stuff, you've gotta be prepared for the flak that'll come your way.
Absolutely. We've said it before, the post that's cuts against the grain is the post that makes the thread most interesting. However, there's a cost to everything and people will come back at you in the first instance. All that's needed to put us sheep in our place is to maintain a sound argument in support of your case (e.g. Swords, Col, Eamon, CernyB, Northolt etc. etc.). Having said that, we need to self-moderate and avoid personal abuse - especially where comments have been posted respectfully no matter how controversial they may be. Keep it up Chris, we're only football fans (ask Ecclestone!).
What MB is full of guys with links to the club? I'll have a look. Glad you find it funny, us wanting the current regime replaced with one that gives a ****. And if you look at Chris's post he goes off topic.

Northolt, all of us are loyal about the hoops. We all have tales to tell, about the playing staff, being on the receiving end of a fist or boot from opposition fans or simple memorable moments. QPR has become part of us all, in that way we own the club. Although we all have something in common it does not make us agree on how we arrived at a situation or what would be the best solution. Unless i am severley mistaken we are not invested owners or directors or have links to them. Please read my comments again and note I made no reference to other boards or their members and that i found hilarity in everyones desperation to believe he is connected and NOT in the situation. By the way my father (RIP) introduced me to QPR 38 years ago and i have since introduced my sons, i have watched both glory days and the dark ages at the club, much darker days than what we have now. I dont like the lack of investment but please tell me when we did have investment?? QPR to my memory has allways been a selling club, it wasnt that long ago we were playing 2nd fiddle to Wasps!!!!! As a typical QPR fan i crave for world class players to grace LR and that is what we will have this season, just a shame not in our beloved hooped shirt.
Loopy, the point of this thread was to remind people of this fobbing off, we all knew it was a fob off at the time. I see this kind of thing as a symptom of the problem. So I made this article and tweeted the link to @iantaylor and @OfficialQpr for a comment, I'm still waiting! Chris's POV was a valid one shared by a lot of people, and I hope he keeps posting, despite the abuse, and you
Fair points well made LoopyR,we have all been through the mill , but that's what being a hoop intails. Some people on here still delude themselves that Mittal is gonna come riding in on his white horse and take over,it ain't gonna happen, move on.There's a Russian taking over,a formula 1 man, another formula 1 man,a beer magnate-come on guys eventually if you throw enough darts you'll hit the target. Back to the post which most people have strayed from,no promotion party is a disgrace but not a surprise.Did you really expect these clowns to know how to treat the fans. Don't make me laugh...
hi guys - thanks for your responses to my comments. As i said before i have no problem with people disagreeing with anything i post ... its natural that people dont agree on everything and there's loads that i disagree with. My only problem with the post was that the abuse (now removed) was personal and a bit offensive. We are all Rangers fans after all. For the record I do think that its rubbish that we didnt get to have any celebration and that the amount of info coming out of the club is negligible (no sponsor and we only found out the kit from the PL handbook) - my point was primarily that we have seen the trailer for 'four year plan' (where Flavio i outside the ground saying that he wanted the names of the people booing him) and it shows that he is very thin skinned. Imagine how furious he would have been if he had been told that he was a dip sh*t or that his views were risible ( not sure what I have done to upset Swords Hoopster incidentally!!)
