Good news is BT Sports have some coverage. So what are they going to do with it? Need you ask, Manchester United, Arsenal and bloody Liverpoo! As JM said above, all those teams are on live TV somewhere every single week, so why not ring the changes while there's a chance? Pathetic!
A review of our Checkatrade game against Swansea - a pretty fair summary IMO. "I was at Norwich’s EFL Trophy tie against Swansea on Tuesday night and I thought Dmitri Halajko’s boys were unlucky on the night as two big decisions went against them which saw them bow out of the competition. I thought Ben Godfrey was very unlucky to receive a red card after pulling down Swansea striker Oliver McBurnie with just 25 minutes gone of the first half. In my opinion I don’t think McBurnie would have gone through and scored as Timm Klose (yes – Timm Klose played on Tuesday night) was always getting back to cover his central defensive partner. Hence, a yellow card would have been the right decision. In all fairness, the lads coped well with a man less and should have taken the lead after a lovely finish from Carlton Morris halfway through the second half – but for some bizarre reason the referee’s assistant had his flag up as Carlton turned away to celebrate. Swansea had at least four players in between the Norwich striker and their goal, so quite why the flag went up I do not know. I saw the Norwich starting XI an hour before kick-off and thought ‘there’s only going to be one winner here tonight’ with the likes of Klose, Steven Whittaker, Matt Jarvis, Youssouf Mulumbu, Josh Murphy and Sergi Canos all starting for the Canaries’ Under-21s, but it goes to show you win nothing on paper. On a brighter note, two young lads who caught my eye the other night were left-back Louis Ramsay and central defender Joe Crowe, after the young 18-year-old came on at half-time. They both showed a maturity in their performances and showed great defensive awareness at a very young age, which is fantastic for the future of the club if they can keep developing and improving." I don't know who the author of the article is - you can read it in full here - http://www.edp24.co.uk/features/can...e_considered_for_norwich_first_team_1_4810584 So maybe the future's bright - the future's yellow and green!!!
To be fair to BT, they have gone for games that could have the most desirable of FA cup results, an upset. BT Sport will broadcast Reading's trip to Manchester United and Preston against Arsenal (both Saturday, 7 January), Liverpool's game against Newport or Plymouth (Sunday, 7 January) and Cambridge United's home tie against Leeds (Monday, 9 January). All of those games have at least one division between them, the Liverpool vs Newport or Plymouth is a little of what it's all about. The dream of a smaller club beating one of the big boys. And cambridge can hopefully embarass the most massive of clubs, Leeds. OK it would certainly have been nice to see Sutton utd getting another outing on the TV, I'm sure they need the fee a lot more than the selected sides, but against AFC W, I can't see the ratings being very special there. Had they drawn a PL or even big championship club then I think they would have got the TV game, but a small Lge 1 club? There just won't be the interest. I of course would rather watch those 2 slug it out than Wet sham, Citeh but they both have allot of fans who would think the contrary.
I wonder if it was Iwan Roberts, as he was co commentator with Chris Goreham apparently. He along with Ben Godfrey look excellent prospects for the future and the future's bright for a much better defence with Toffolo to return as well!!! It can't be worse can it??? Edit - yes, it was Iwan, as just read the article in the EEN.

Just seen what Saints fans think of Nathan Redmond - http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/12/0...ct-on-twitter-to-nathan-redmonds-performance/
I posted this a few weeks ago on the Saints board to see what the early thoughts were. A bit of a mixed bag but generally positive or at least hopeful. After 2 seasons at CR I was of the opinion that he was taking too long to show significant improvement but more importantly significant consistency. The latter looks to remain in serious doubt.
Thanks for that TC and it seems as though after a promising start, NR seems to have lapsed into the form that so infuriated most NCFC supporters, which is such a waste fo talent - these 2 in particular sum it up for me - Rich homer @Richhomer78 Redmond is so infuriating beats his man with ease then too indecisive and wastes some great opportunities #saintsfc 10:48 PM - 8 Dec 2016 Follow please log in to view this image Liam McCarthy @SaintLiam2011 I'm never normally one to criticise individuals, but Nathan Redmond is stealing a living as a footballer. #saintsfc 10:33 PM - 8 Dec 2016
I've just seen the report on the Brighton V Leeds game. Leeds only had 2 shots on goal and none on target!!!! So Brighton go top for a few hours at least and there is quite a gap opening up to 3rd.
It makes you wonder whether AN had already assessed Jacob (and Josh) as replacements for Redmond when we sold him. Jacob hit the ground running and made the WR shirt his own really. He's a much better team player, has scored 6 goals in 19 appearances, has many more assists and also tracks back to help the RB very effectively indeed. His partnership with Pinto is particularly impressive. Josh has had a lot more competition at WL but the potential is there as well. With Thompson, Maddison, Toffolo, McGrandles, Morris, Canos, Godfrey and others like Ramsay, Jayaisimi and Cantwell coming through as well we're finally devloping a squad like we did back in the early 90s. Great stuff.
Leeds did have a plyer sent off in the 23rd minute, but it's still pretty poor that they didn't at least have a go. Both Brighton goals came from penalties.
"On 2 December 2010, Russia was selected as the location for the 2018 World Cup" So why is this being hauled out of the closet now and not far sooner? Surely the infrastructure will be largely in place by now? Cheers, Sepp, Michel et al. that's another fine mess........ http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38274641
Yes, I saw that and it didn't sound like an exciting game to watch. I wonder what next Friday's Championship game will be like - I'm hoping for a comfortable home win!!!! Edit - some very pertinent points in Robin Sainty's article today - “However, it’s the rediscovery of City’s attacking mojo that gives some real cause for optimism and much of that is down to the unpredictability of Alex Pritchard, who shredded the Brentford defence at will and was man of the match by some distance. His sublime reverse pass to set up Robbie Brady’s goal was worth the price of entry on its own. I suspect the visitors may well have prepared for Wes Hoolahan and Cameron Jerome, but found themselves faced with a completely different set of problems in Pritchard and Nelson Oliveira. Pritchard offers a different threat to Hoolahan simply because his supreme two-footedness means that a defender knows that he could be passed on either side with equal ease, whereas the better teams tend to force Hoolahan onto his right foot knowing that the likelihood is that he will have to turn in order to get back to his stronger side, so slowing attacking momentum. Both have a huge part to play, but I’m not sure that the best will be obtained from either of them if they are shoehorned into the same starting line-up. Oliveira’s natural inclination to show for a ball to his feet rather that peel off into the channels in the same way as the pacier Jerome gives greater compactness to City’s passing movements and he, like Pritchard, is equally comfortable on either foot. What’s more, he is more of a striker than a target man and needs no second invitation to go for the net, as evidenced by two thunderous strikes and the clinical finish for his richly-deserved goal. Jerome has been excellent this season, but if Oliveira can continue this form then Neil will have two outstanding options up front. However, it was the speed with which City moved the ball through the central areas that was the key to the performance and that was helped by the return of Jonny Howson whose energy has been so sorely missed in recent weeks, and perhaps also the absence of Alex Tettey whose lack of comfort on the ball tends to slow the development of City’s attacks. However, his primary role is as a destroyer and he too will be needed down the line.” Full article here - http://www.edp24.co.uk/features/looks_like_norwich_city_are_up_and_running_again_1_4810965
