Maybe the fans leaving early last night wanted to first in the queue for the Wembly tickets.

I'm still laughing. When it was a bad as that last night, all you can do is laugh. That was hilarious.

I think the cherry on the icing on the cake was bringing on James Ward Prowse when searching for two late goals. Brilliantly funny that. Comic genius.

But everything is great at the club. One has to remember, the brainwashed dullards on the internet say so.

CBK I have always enjoyed your posts going back to the good old days on BBC 606!

Speaking of the BBC - there live feed updates were also taking the piss out of that substitution decision also last night

The atmosphere last night was one of the worst I can remember for a "big game". But I can't really blame the fans. When you have insipid football in front of you with barely a flicker of pressure on the opposition goal, it's near on impossible to rouse yourself to try to rouse the team. If they don't look interested, then why should you?*

    * I appreciate that as an uber fan, I should chanting non stop for 90 minutes whilst wearing my official Southampton FC head to toe merchandise, face paint and waving a very very small flag.

I guess you also would have moaned had he not done something at that time? Or did you have an alternative from Clasie, McQueen, Fonte or Harry Lewis in searching for a goal?

The idea behind JWP coming on late was, I'd image, the dead-ball delivery we could have potentially had late on. I understood the sub.

Time to unstick the thread and move on. I came across from the depressing Echo site and I find the same misery on here! Yes, we have some serious issues, not a total meltdown yet but it seems to be on the verge of one?

I now have the enjoyment of my first dentist appointment in years to round of the last 24 hours perfectly. My summary of the current situation is I'll always back the manager and never leave early or boo, but Puel just doesn't play the brand of football I enjoy to watch - simple. Therefore I'm always going to struggle to warm to him. Even league 1 we had a lovely attacking style of play. If the game's end to end and we lose, fair enough. Losing on a whimper like last night and holding out for 1-0's, really isn't for me. But that's just a personal opinion on style of football.

I would have put on Fonte and immediately put Virgil up front. VVD only went up top with 3 mins to go.

Yes, the infamous JWP dead-ball delivery that the majority of the time, is as ordinary as hell. But a bloke on the TV said it's brilliant, so we have to believe him and not the evidence of our own eyes and seeing him hit the first defender time after time after time.

Look on the bright side mate, you'll have more fun at the dentists than you did last night.

I still have faith in Puel btw. I'm certainly not judging him before the end of the season.

    Thank you.

It was the point where after a barrage of expletives, I stood up and starting walking out. Although the pleasure/pain centre of my brain then decided that I should stand in the exit and suffer a bit more. Oh the suffering, you got to love the self-inflicted suffering.

Well it was JWP's delivery that gave VVD two glorious chances to have us qualified from this group before yesterday's game - neither of which he took.

The depressing thing is that we probably have less than average.

Sadly it is a fact that when the Saints get a good result two thirds of the poster go absent, when there is a set back they are on the case like a rash. That's 21st Century attitudes I guess. I blame Social Media.

I just want to know when FLT is doing the next match thread. The press conference is at 11.30am and I know it's doubtful but someone may actually ask about injuries.

This game never happened I have moved on. :emoticon-0184-tmi:
