There used to be this guy called Gerrez on here who would post from work all day long... ... So it's really not that obvious.
Day off tomorrow. Couple of mates coming down from Liverpool and staying over. We are on a mega pub crawl around Shrewsbury. After the last one in Liverpool we are only having halves in each pub, but have 24 pubs on the list. When I told one mate I had a route with 24 pubs on it his reaction was "We can always do a lap of honour if we get through them all"
No, how could he do a pub crawl on his crutches. Also we are drinking real ale, not pints of cold chemicals
Out of curiosity, how much does it cost to do 24 half pints? Please tell me tipping the barmaid hasn't made it across the pond or that alone would be expensive. And I'm talking about giving tips, not tipping her over. (Had to qualify that in case RHC were reading)
I've never been one for pub crawls, tbh. I'd rather just get happily pissed in a place that I like rather than walking the streets. Also - halves?
Around Shrewsbury a pint varies from about £3.20 to £4 depending on which pub you are in. Taking an average of £3.50 a pint 24 halves would be £42, we are having a big fry up before we set out so will have to buy an evening meal as well, plus crisps, etc. I am budgeting for £75/80 spend for the day
We can visit more pubs and taste more variety of ales having halves. The pubs in the town centre are pretty close together so we will not be walking far, it is two miles from my house though so we will work up a thirst walking into town.
