Thursday already, the week has flown by. Looks like Matip, Mane and Firmino will be fit. Lallana also back we have options again.
Studge not fit.. But like others have said, Mane, Matip should be fine. I'd like to see Firmino back up top in the False 9 role, the vast majority of his below par performances have come when he's been on the wings. Stick a rocket up Origi's arse and tell him to switch on from minute one on the wings! Lallana back, but for who, most likely Gini but he's done well of late, but Can has been in the goals..
for this game who knows. west ham have been giving up so its simply a question of if we score or if they can defend properly.
thats not really an issue. they need to shoot from closer in and be following up for the stuff the guy drops out in front of himself My main fear is they will try break on right side where milner seems to struggle to block crosses and they will lump it to far sick where clyne is too short to battle carroll. Thats where goals will come IMO. Matip is going to be vital simply as he is the onyl guy tall enough to handle carroll
Trying to out-jump players like Carroll is often a bit of a fruitless task. A judicious nudge to put him off can be just as effective.
To negate powerful players in the air; 1) Stop the cross 2) if the man hasn't got a run, then the defender should be ale to do enough to put him off with his positioning. 3) if the man has the run, then you need your midfielders to track that run
I would agree. I think we lack a truly good all-round centre forward. Firmino isn't exactly one, although has turned into a valuable member of the team. Ings and Sturridge are made of glass, and Studge has lost his legs. Origi is closest we have but there isn't really enough to his game.
We had best win this game. Spammers aren't great atm but they do get results against us from time to time.
#seasonover but if we don't win it's definitely #seasonover and if we lose next season might even be #seasonover too
I agree, if we lose we should give up on the Premier league and join the Garlic Football league instead, we might win that. Long live LGFC!
