Yes, but the FA usually assume the worst and back the ref. There was enough of case that he kicked out, but over turning it seems to mean the FA have actually admitted the ref wasn't up to the job.
been overturned apparently get in https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/wrongful-dismissal-claims-successful
It's good news but just backs up what most of us believed was true. The referee was and is completely out of his depth and any credibility for him going forward now is in tatters meaning that h can't possibly referee top games again. What a complete and utter disgrace.
Agreed mate and it is great to see them overturned. Refs need to get better or get better help IMHO (ie TV).
Stunned that Shelvey got overturned, though heard that a football league referee had said it was a yellow, admittedly he did say that he thought Dummett's was a red, suggests to me that some of these referee's don't know the rules as well as they should.
Ha ha...Steve Fackin Martin's been well and truly lampooned. Now all we need is those cock polishing Mackems who agreed with the ref to self combust and a strong wind blow their ashes into the nearest sh!t house and flush the bastards away.
Because it was never a red card. I said that from the moment Jonjo was sent off. He never kicked out. He never "caught" the cheating scum bag. Jonjo has had some undeserved criticism because of the cheating scum bag cheating. Demonstrates how bad the referee was when not one, which is rare, but two red cards in one game are over turned. The Moron in Black's only defence was that it was the Moron in Black running the line who called the first one.
Agree with help from technology. Have said previously that a two or three appeal system for each side per half similar to American football should at least be trialled. Also should introduce retrospective bans against the cheats. Three match bans each offence should sort it pretty quickly.
Bloody hell! Common sense from the FA? Wasn't that seen as one of the harbingers of the final days being upon us?
I was going to make a comment about not all of us hanging around the school to check when his class finishes - but that probably wouldn't be very wise after this week's events!
