I think Puel rates Yoshi rather more than many Saints fans do. He may not be as concerned by Fonte going as those of us with an emotional attachement.

Would leave us rather thin in the CB dept unless the lesser spotted Gardos is ready to, um, take flight.

 

I like how people are feeling sorry for Fonte. The guy who didn't want to say **** when the rumours he wanted to go to United and United were in for him. The guy who only said some throw away line after the transfer window had shut.

It's obvious that the relationship between club and player have soured. Fonte use to be the face of Saints and was interviewed every week, now we hardly hear from him.

For me Fonte is yet another player trying to make the club look bad and angle for a move at the same time. It makes him look like a good guy if he does end up moving.

This situation looks nearly the same as the Lallana one. Feeding the press stuff to look like he is in the right. So many people brought it as well, until he had got what he wanted and moved. Look how that turned out after...

Jeremy Wilson so possibly Saints may have had some input.

 

Referring to the 3rd paragraph, it looks like he's angling for an appearance on "Strictly".

 

One more thing to add;
Why o why is it always in the build up to a important game that players rock the boat. Maximum exposure I guess, but it really rattles my cage.

 

I think it is the Papers that stir it up, but we always seem to give them the ammunition.

 

His quotes are new though. Why is he frustrated today? I've already penciled him in for the Norwich game.

 

There is a simple solution to all these problems, and like all simple solutions it is sure to be effective, but would have some fairly severe consequences; just shoot all football agents.

 

Ever since Mendes became Fonte's agent we have had problems, says it all really.

 

Apparently he's responded on instagram saying the rumours aren't true

That comment means nothing. Him saying "not true at all" could be about the contract. Seeing as in the quotes from him saying he doesn't view it as a contract...

 

Why do these players want to play out all these private matters in public, lacks class and ends up with a lot of mud flinging from supports and the player.
This is going the same way as Lovren, Lallana etc where bad feelings are the only things left behind instead of leaving in the right way and maintaining respect like Sir Rickie who will always be heralded at SMS
Come on Jose, stop talking to the press and causing waves....there are a few important games to win

The agreement rumour is rubbish, doesn't mean he won't leave. Looking at some of the replies a lot of them think that is what he means.

 

Yeah. I think we at least owe him the benefit of the doubt until shown otherwise.
