Bessone, Bruce, Bromby and Grella. We still have these tools sitting on our wage bill. To my mind, if SG isn't going to play them, they should be put onto the transfer list and we can sell them for nothing if not a couple of hundred grand in total. Why don't we offload? Surely then we'd have the wages to go out and get one more top defender and loan a good striker or an unattached proven striker? I just can't see how common sense isn't prevailing..!?
Grayson signed all of these players. Bessone is surplus to requirements after 9 appearances, and his sucessor is going to be O'Dea... Bromby was replaced by Bruce... Grella by Paytner... Can you see the trend forming?
We can't give these players away and Grayson brought them in, so somebody was laughing their cocksoff when we took them on. Symathy for Grella though, at least his strike ratio was much better than Ross and Billy's, and played in the right formation would have scored a bag full from playing off scraps around the box
Grella is obviously a better player than Paynter. I hope he starts alongside McCormack against Bradford.
You are absolutely correct about Brown - he is a total waste of space whos only ambition is to screw as much money as he can out of any mug club who signs him. he virtually sat out all of last season at Portsmouth rather than take a realistic view of his contract which tells you all you need to know. He is a total has been whos only talent is to kick as many opponents as he can. It was a miracle at Southampton that he went 34 minutes before being booked. He will probably get sent off 4/5 times this season & I do not understand why Grayson signed him. Not one other club wanted him
Bessone & Grella, maybe, but Bruce & Bromby can still do a job. OB hopefully won't play for a while again after Saturday. But he did contribute to our almost getting into the play offs last season. So we should hang onto him. But Lees, Bromby, or Bruce should start tomorrow. Kisnorbo could start, or be saved for Saturday & just get a final 20 mins tomorrow.
Bomby better than OB sorry but he is...never felt he has been given a fair crack by larry...never let us down when he played and he is quicker than OB
'why haven't we offloaded the scrap?' Ken's just waiting for the tread on his tyres to run out. No point visiting the scrappy twice with today's rising fuel costs.
