If Moyes brings in someone better, or Dong develops into better then all will be forgiven.

I`ll reserve judgment until it`s definite either way but as it is it`s beginning to look more like another wasted opportunity.

Would I **** come back to Sunderland if I was M'Vila. ****ed by the club and now fans are comparing him to Gyan and calling him a money grabber. I'd tell us to take a running jump if I were him. He'll be thinking, 'lovely fans until they think you've wronged them, then they turn into petulant children'.

The bloke owes us nothing and as a free agent he has the right to join who he wants. Folk should grow up and question the three people who made sure it didn't happen. Instead of attacking the bloke who flew himself to England on deadline day to try and join us. <doh>

Gratitude? Us Sunderland fans don't seem to know the meaning of the word.

I'm pretty certain he would have come to you guys for less money in the summer if you had followed up your interest properly but before you get on your high horse what does he owe you?

He seemed to make it known his preferred choice was Sunderland and was then put on hold so the club to try and save some money, two can play at that game - he's within his rights if he's decided to cash in himself.

If the club told Yann we would sign him irrespective of Raban negotiations and told him to fly in to be ready to do the deal, then the club ****ed up. Big time - "****ed by the club" would be right.

If the club told Yann we would sign him if Raban reduced their offer and told him to fly in to be ready to do the deal, then the club messed up. But he wasn't "****ed by the club" if he knew there was a risk the deal may not go through/Raban wouldn't budge. If he decides to fly in to try and somehow push the deal through, good luck to him. Worth a try but a bit naive, perhaps.

If the club told him to hang tight until Jan, but we wouldn't be paying Raban a fee as it stands the club has done nowt 'wrong', formally. A big **** up, based on our other transfer spending, provided the wages were right.

This is where I'm cynical about the whole deal. No-one here knows what he and his agent were pushing for wage-wise. If we cannot afford to pay his wage demands, what do people expect will happen? He hasn't been ****ed by the club, he's ****ed himself.

More than 3 people made sure it didn't happen? - more like 5. Short, Baines, Moyes, MVilla and his agent.

If he moves on to a bigger and better club/league in Jan - than Rubin - very good luck to the bloke. He'll be a massive asset to whimever he plays for and I'll be gutted we ****ed up/missed out.

If he stays to play in a tin-pot league for top-dollar, this shows - to me at least - he wants cash before football. He cannot be short of quality offers. A bit like Gyan.

I am cynical about players who post stuff on social media that they love it at the club, kiss-the-badge antics... blah ****ing blah. The ones who do enjoy it/appreciate it are most likely the real pros who you hear nowt from.

Look no further than Kone, prolific tweeter playing to the galleries last season, cum wannabe turncoat as soon as his agent got his foot in Everton's door.

Petulant child? I'm taking a balanced view, as I see it, and will reserve judgement once the whole thing unfolds in January.

Saying he reminds you of Gyan is balanced is it? Warped definition of balanced imo. We owned Gyan and he forced move away from us to sign one of the highest paid contracts at the time. Yann wasn't owned by us and wanted to join us, not force a move away. How on god green earth do you see any similarities? Again, he's a free agent who owes us nothing after helping us stay up. You're on a completely different planet to me when it comes to football. I find your views are often unthought, unrealistic, unreasonable and often out of touch with the modern game. You're not my cup of tea in the slightest. We best distance ourselves for the good of the board. No fuss and keeping it civil <ok>

Can't understand this post at all though Bri (and not being argumentative or trying to stir anything but just giving an opinion) - From what I can see, Nordic said "if he goes on to stay in Rubin for mega money he's like Gyan" he didn't actually say "hes just like Gyan" he qualified it first

As for the M'Vila situation - I love the bloke as a footballer but kind of sit on the fence with who is to blame - very few (pretty sure yourself included iirc) thought we should spend £7m on him in August. I guess only time will tell us the whole truth - a number of outlets stated categorically that we had a pre-contract in place - a number of others now say we haven't. It's all a bit "media frenzy" really and I don't know the whole truth about what went on but agree with Nordic in that the club ****ed up big time IF the stories are true, if the other "pre-contract" stories are true, the club has done nothing wrong and if he signs a mega-bucks deal with Kazan then he's only interested in money

I've made my peace with the fact he ain't coming back. If he makes a rake of cash where he is good luck to him, I might do the same in his shoes. But as for him coming to SAFC....no chance now.........I think

Lets face it, this is only an issue because its an odd situation. Players are very rarely so vocal about wanting a particular move to happen and M'Vila continues to make reference to us with this 'thank you' post. The fact that he arrived in the UK on deadline clearly means that he thought a move was possible, even likely. That suggests to me that SAFC led him to believe that that was the case. Otherwise, why bother flying all that way? If SAFC never had intention of signing him, none of this would have happened, he'd have gone back to Rubin Kazan and we'd have forgotten about it.

With all of the other strange decisions that seem to go on around the club, all of this just seems odd. Whether or not something is amiss or not, the behaviour of both M'Vila and SAFC in this affair means that question marks inevitably arise around it.

I was going to mention Odemwingie; he was widely ridiculed for that and, if I remember rightly, was disciplined by his club for doing that. Neither of those things appear to have happened to M'Vila which suggests to me that it wasn't just him that the thought the move was a possibility.

Could simply be that he was badly advised by his agent - I amd evil's advocating mind as I know absolutely nothing and it's pure speculation - you could be right ands the club have ****ed up, we ould both be wrong and M'Vila might have ****ed up. Nobody on here knows and the people I rely on for my transfer info at the club have told me nothing about it

He clearly stated it reminds him of Gyan. In black and white, I see nothing similar at all. If it reminds him in the sense that it's a footballer wanting best available wage than it must remind him of virtually every footballer ever.

My view on Yann is simple he's out of contract and can sign where he wants. If people want to abuse his good name for that it just shows what an unreasonable fan base we have. Simple as that. He owes us nothing what so Why should he turn down better offers for us? He footballer with a time span on his career with a family to provide for well beyond that career. So people can shove their petulant bitter attitudes up their arseholes for all I care. His family come first before us.

Lot of you stand their passing judgement from you little tower of moral high ground. Waiting to point the finger on anyone who 'wrongs' precious safc. You'd all take the money, every single ****ing one of you. Because your family comes first. And rightly so.

News flash. Our club is a **** house. We've become a hate club. We do business badly, we run the club badly and we stay up learning nowt when we deserve to go down. This club is an absolute embarrassment to the game. Nobody owes us ****. Especially M'Vila. Way to good for us anyway. We shouldn't be able to afford him, he's out of our league, way better than us. Of course it's going to cost us but we want everything on the cheep. Cheep don't buy you class.
