Kightly no! We have enough wide players, why bring in another just to out Forsyth or Yeates who both scored?? I would not say no to Keane, a young striker to back up the regulars.
Just read that Rangers (the Glasgow variety) are hoping to sign MM! Not our erstwhile leader, but Matt McKay, the Aussie and Brisbane captain. Have long been an admirer of his - he's like a skillful Les Taylor Out of our price range it would seem - a real pity
I just want to correct some of the rubbish that I've read today. Tom Cleverley isn't the new Paul Scholes: Paul Scholes is the old Tom Cleverley.
Can i correct that. Tom Cleverly is Tom Cleverly and out classes Paul Scholes! Scholes ended up a thug who could only play 15mins a week!! Cleverly is quick on his feet, a good passer of the ball and has plenty to give. Scholes may have been close years ago, but Cleverly is in a whole other league now!
Well he is dead, so that is a given. When you compare Scholes at the end of his career you can see that Cleverly is better. The only time they might be on a par was when Scholes was in his prime several years ago! Cleverly is a different player to Scholes altogether, for starters TC is a wide player who likes to run at defenders where as Scholes was always a central player who would win the ball and try not to break the guys leg in the process. They are Chalk and Cheese.
Still looking for LeFondre for less than 500k but might be wishful thinking on my part. Loans elsewhere should bolster the squad enough at that point. Based on my Dad's report form Saturday Sordell is real quality, but might need to get a little greedier to get more goals. Not sure if I want him to be greedier or not, but he looked good on the highlights I saw - albeit brief highlights. Hornette - I saw that you were in the U.S. (my current place of residence) and I also saw that you were going to watch the Phillies on Saturday. I'm not a huge baseball fan but I am Philadelphia fan in general for the sports over here. Did you mean the Philadelphia Phillies and if so what is the connection? I lived in Philly for 4 years before moving down to Atlanta. Ok that's enough non-Watford stuff.
Jon Marks has once again taken the trouble to e-mail me apologizing for the lash up on the Hornet Player. He states that there is little he can do except get in touch with the studio and tell them to get their act together. He finds it unacceptable that it takes 15 minutes to change the stream and suggests that action will be taken against those responsible. He clearly was as annoyed as we were, but he does show a concern that you don't always see elsewhere. Thanks Jon, you are far and away the best commentator heard on local radio.
Very decent of Jon to get back to you, only too often people do not take the time to answer! You pay for a service which is critical on a match day and they cannot provide the correct game. Questions have to be asked and hopefully answered!
Thanks For that Frenchie , wonder who was responsible and whether he has had his wrist slapped! Fair play to Mr Marks
Ollie was often thought of as too good for a local newspaper, but just enjoyed his job, so was happy to not seek elevated heights such as the NoW.
Wobby vs NoW? Hmmm - no competition really. Little wonder he stayed put Ollie was the best there is (sadly - was) in my humble opinion. I'm glad there were no Malky-esque newspaper editors around then
