We finally have a player who can hold the ball FFS. The lad has made a massive improvement to our game since he came in, good on him.

I think he's doing well on the left personally. Putting him in the middle will only serve to surrender a man in the middle of the park. I think it's working how it is. 3 wins in 4.

I think a certain top-7 all time Premier League goalscorer might have something to say about that...

JD is always gonna be a contender but at the moment I'd say Pickford is well ahead. Just my opinion I know, but if Anichebe keeps this form up he'll be up right up there as well.

I think Billy Jones, deserves a mention. He seems to be getting better and better, under David Moyes.

My choice for best player would be Watmore. A rookie who has done the essential job fetching and carrying and is now developing into the kind of player that makes a difference in the game.

he was like Niall Quinn today, he shielded the ball and bossed his area, fabulous !. Sad about watmore though, what is going on with the injuries ?

He is improving under Moyes and he's solid in defence. Still weak in attack but we're doing alright in that regard and I'd probably prioritise a settled defence at the moment.

Having said that I do have him down as someone to potentially replace at some point though, we could really do with more quality in attack and Jones is way off that.

I think he has been superb. I like him on the left as the fullbacks just can't live with his power and strength.

JD has been player of the season for me. He looks like scoring every game at the moment.

I don't think I've ever seen a player as good at controlling and then holding the ball up, if he lost the ball at all today it was only once or twice from loads of tricky passes into him. He's absolutely immense.

Some of the other players are stepping up to the plate but JD is and always has been the main man and we would be still bottom without him.

I said when we signed him big center forwards aren't about the goals and to give the lad a chance as he'll bring something we've been missinf, A bit of muscle has allowed us to retain the ball further up the pitch. Now the ball isn't coming straight back at the defence we can actually fashion together some attacking football. Lots of humble pie to be eaten with this lad. His goals have been a plus but not to be relied on.We need to be looking at investing big style in this sort of player.

he works perfectly out there. commentators on the match I see were saying just how brilliantly he held the ball up as we hit diagonals in to him - mostly from pickers and jellybaby. and then proceeded to tear Simpson a new one.

no point putting him up against huth and morgan for even spoils - attack the weak link, and his v good feet and strength allow him to run at players too.
