Man Utd fans have given up on top 4

Europa League is their best chance of CL but they won't get the benefit of #warmballs

LVG won the FA Cup and was still sacked during the post-match conference for it so I doubt Man Utd consider it a priority

Mourinho is only interested in the LC for his own stats and because his "I won a trophy 18 months ago" whinge about #respect is wearing thin

Jose Mourinho needs time, he won the title last 18 months ago not 18 years. This thing takes time.

All utd fans think they need do is over haul spurs.

Its inevitable we will fail and be 6th so all utd need do now is haul in spurs who are after all a mere 4 points clear of them.

simple to get 4th.. after all didn't they do it that last 3 years.

I do hope that the majority of you are wumming.
The squad that Utd have is more than capable of getting top four, i would still be insisting they could win the title, which although unlikely is still possible if i thought that City, Chelsea and Arsenal would ALL mess up.
They have started to show the promise and performance that their side is capable of. Mourihnio will sort Utd out, playing Mickey is a good start. It is also entirely possible that we could mess up in December.

The games we have coming up are the types of games we tend to struggle with, there would we be no surprise if we go on spurs (this season) like run in december where we dont lose but we dont win, we have the derby and city in this month. This is why we get called deluded. We go into one of the two busiest months for league points (6 games same as April) basically goading the other teams discussing how many we are going to smash a team by. We have quite an injury list at the minute and our balance has been disrupted. It is great the amount of points we currently have but we are in no way nailed on for top four, equally writing Utd/South/Everton off is just plain stupid.

I am not saying it will happen but i would not be surprised if Couts has played his last game for us. Basically so much can change - particularly in December and Jan. Every time we write something we are virtually jinxing ourselves. Only two years ago we were like this and then karma gave us the slip. Just keep realistic otherwise this will all come back and bite us in the arse.

I would say yes and no. thier squad is laced with quality but is hugely misshapen. Martial is not a winger. hes a striker playing wide. Ibrahimovic, stiker, ronney, fat striker, rashford striker.. mkhitaryan no 10, mata no 10... but rooney is played no 10

    and the list goes on.

If mourinho can get his real time fit and on pitch of course they have a chance but they are now off the ace and need to catch up. thye need to sort CB out. carrick is aged but they can't find anyone to take his place.. pogba is a huge issue they've bought for themselves.

However to address this "TEND TO STRUGGLE WITH" ahem have you seen our actual results. every game i nthe prem can be a struggle if you don't perform but we've got our point by playing well.

you have in your mind written off the entire 6 games of decemebr for some reason we can't win! but we've won 9 games so far (and the 3 draws were spurs utd and southampton)

i don't get what you think goading is cos no team is goaded by internet chatter

then you have decided somehow coutinho is injured til summer or going to leave in january and the sky is falling in.

please go have a mulled wine and a mince pie and cheer up. <ok>

It not a case of thinking those things - i am saying there is a chance of these things. I hate seeing us give so much material to those who will gladly throw it right back IF things go wrong. I dont understand why we dont wait till we have won something then start with the smash this - smash that. It is 13 games in of 38. Yes we are doing okay but things change quickly.

Go back earlier there are those on here who had written Chelsea off and still do. I understand all the talk on tactics etc I am just saying we need to calm the smash talk.

Ftr i am happier that we struggled to beat Sunderland than the 6-1 smashing of Watford. As it gave me hope that we are able to deal with the games that we struggle with. That said still think a draw is best we will get this weekend :)

I understand what KKK (<yikes>) is saying, I'm petrified of December. The last 2 games have played on my nerves a bit with playing defensive teams.

I can't see Bournemouth playing a defensive game though, I expect them to have a go like they did vs Arsenal. Can't see a clean sheet if I'm honest.

Sod 'em. It's only football banter - nobody should take it too seriously.

Utd have little chance of winning the league. There are 5 teams ahead of them, 4 of whom are between 8 and 11 points clear. They (Utd) might put a bit of a surge on, but for all of the others to collapse will take a footballing miracle of Leicester proportions.

Of those above them: We are still an unknown quantity - we're on a good run but we can't be certain it can be maintained. City are disappointing given their resources but surely won't fall far. Arsenal are eternal bridesmaids but always turn up for the party. Spurs are reasonably consistent. Chelsea really don't look like they're going to drop too many points from now on.

the only part of December that's bad is the credit card bill coming.

this is a feast of football for us. we've 13 games (1/3rd of our season) gone. before long we'll be looking at summer and no football. we should enjoy everything in the moment.
