And tomorrow (Thursday). What is this jockey like stick? Why isn't Rob Havlin riding? 1 mile a Chelmsford is a bit of a surprise; has he been showing something at home?

He is a good lad Ron. We always have trouble getting Rab and we want someone that will ride him every time and get used to him and his quirkiness. Adam rode him at Chelmsford the last day and he went very well for him. He loved the horse to bits which was nice as at least one (champion jockey) that rode him this season were less than complimentary.
Yet again and for the umpteenth time this season has pulled a ****e draw but he is very well and must go very close. We are keen to get him back in the winners enclosure before he has a winter break.

1.20 Ffos Las Lisheen Prince 13/8
Wins. Not often 13/8 could be described as value but it looks it here.

Conditional jockeys races are the road to ruin but I reckon Sue Smith has a chance in both divisions at Catterick tomorrow. OPTICAL HIGH 12.30 @ 16/1 & GROOMED 1.00 @ 25/1 are both not without a chance off their current marks and jockey bookings mean the maximum allowance is being claimed.

I quite like the McCain pair, 12.30 Thyne for Gold and 1.00 Danceintothelight :emoticon-0100-smile

Morning, old comrades. Hope everyone well.

Call The Cops over the big ‘uns (2.20 Ffos Las) is perhaps the most intriguing of the day but I certainly wouldn’t want to be taking odds-on about him this afternoon. I see he’s opposed by his former barn mate, West Wizard, and we all know what his claim to fame is don’t we – losing the same novice hurdle 2 terms on the trot (when long odds on both times – 1/6 and 2/9!). A race to watch with an eye to the future rather than to punt on, methinks.

Meanwhile, I can’t see much wrong with Squire’s pilot tomorrow. Last term he won the 'Cesarewitch' for the county.

Good luck to those wagering today.

Alan King sends 3 up to Carlisle today and I wouldn't put anyone off the treble - Fidux (7/4), Tara View (2/5) and Laissez Dire (5/6) ought to take their respective heats and the treble looks worth a dabble.

Cheese and tomato baguette, a packet of Doritos and a banana. All washed down with a bucket of water (iced, not from the tap). 7/10.

Rather bizarrely I see that the 2 Roger’s have both got horses set to run in the NH sphere over the next few days. Mr Charlton, on Friday, and Mr Varian on Sunday.

Unfortunately stick my cash along with the loose horse stopped you from getting the double up :headbang:

My meagre returns for the McCain pair can go on the following:

Catterick 1.30 Calarules, hoping Hughes can get a place at a good price
Ffos Las 1.50 Kelsey, nice one for the Bowens with blinkers on today which could help

I'm working from home ( yes, I'm working, of course I am! ) as I'm waiting for an autoelectrician to come and fix the fan on the Modus.
Perfect time of the year for it to stop working - I may as well breathe all over the windscreen rather than try and use it as it is.
I hope he can fix it, taking the kids to school and nursery is a tad difficult with the windscreen the way it has been in this frosty weather.

Ginger, that loose horse nearly pushed Danceintothelight on to the chase course!
The fave, admittedly, looked to me like it would win anyway, it travelled really well.

    Nortonthorpelegend, very nice indeed.
Can Hughes have a similar number of winners in December? That's 31 now in this month, well done.
