In my ideal world, prison would be like a Bosch masterpiece. It's never going to happen, but there are radical changes which can be made so prison really does feel like hell on earth.
Still find it hard to believe that being in a 8ft by 8ft room for the rest of your life is better than being hanged no matter what conditions they enjoy in prison after a couple of years being beaten, cut, stabbed and arse ****ed on a daily basis I think being hanged would be a god send that's why I am against hanging let the twats suffer.

Bri has got a point when you think back to what happened with Lee Rigby. I remember our officers stating they shot to injure and not to kill, because that was giving them what they wanted. Both have already been attacked in jail, one has had his front teeth knocked out . Both live every day just waiting to be attacked again. I see the argument on both sides.
If they'd put a couple of rounds in his stomach and let him bleed out in agony for an hour and a half he'd it least have paid some kind of price(but it would have cost the copper his job). But shoot to kill is pretty instant and painless. I think when you're dead you're dead, so he got off scot free imo.
Its a nice idea to think they'd be suffering everyday. But they're not. 3 hot meals a day, exercise regimes, work experience, social studies, hot showers, God knows how many gym hours a week, family visits; educational studies and qualifications.
