I don't mean to be arrogant - but they're still Leeds... there's a reason why they're in the championship.
It's not arrogant, but it is complacent. They're where they are because they're not consistent enough to get out of it. That doesn't mean they're not capable of turning in a good performance now and again, especially if the motivation is there. Blimey, we've come a cropper often enough in games like this to know better than to take that attitude.
I'm sorry but if we don't win, I'll still take the same attitude that we should still be easily turning them over. Of course we should be warned against complacency however nothing short of a comprehensive win would be satisfactory given where both clubs are. Klopp has instilled a real fighting spirit in this team where complacency is unacceptable.
I fully agree we should win. I'm saying that we can't just send out a weakened side and expect to win just because it's a championship side. We have to take them more seriously than that.
Players show any sign of complacency and they'll get a rocket up their arse and unlikely to play again.. for a long time! Those coming know they need to be on it, or enjoy the u23 league!
-----------------Mignolet TAA----Lucas-----Klavan----Moreno -------Brannagan----Stewart ---------------Wijnaldum ----Mane-----Sturridge----Origi Would like to see Ejaria and Grujic also. Woodburn if we're winning. Wouldn't be surprised if Lovren and/or Clyne play.
Plus Anfield is a #fortress We can't let Leeds come and get anything but a thrashing when teams like Spurs, Man Utd and Sunderland have already been taught their place
I'd imagine Origi and Studge will start. Firm and Mane may get a rest. Moreno and Klavan will get a chance as well. Rest might be same that started in last game (Cout excluded as well obviously)
They played for a draw and they were glad to get it They turned up with the intention of putting 11 men behind the ball and praying for a smash and grab When a team does that it's because they know they aren't as good, even if they do actually end up fluking their smash and grab (which of course does sometimes happen otherwise #smallclubs wouldn't bother trying it)
So no you dont remember rhem having chances to win it then. ok. You can forgive utd seeing they are safely midtable but sunderlabd need every point and 3 were on offer yesterday. Leeds have a free game here to have a go in or could play for pens. its up to them... but i bet they wont pull a spursand rest half their first team in their biggest game of season.
I'd be surprised if Monk "parked the bus". Following his time at Swansea it probably isn't really what he does.
There is a good feeling in our squad, and lots of goid players are trying to break into the first team. as long as we play a team that functions, (players in right positions.) I think we smash them even with plenty of changes. any chance of Ojo being back for this one?
it'll be interesting to see. You are right he tried to play football at swansea but it is a cup tie and pens are available. Its also a no lose game for leeds so who knows.
I have no idea what Leeds are like at the moment. Mix of youth and experience needs to be right. Hopefully Studge is fit and if he starts with Origi then we should get goals.
needs to rest key players, we cannot afford more injuries. Bournemouth are not going to be easy nuts to crack.
We should win this with a decent side. However I doubt that Klopp will lose any sleep over preparing for this match or its outcome. We win it, great but there will be silver linings if we lost. Less distraction for our title challenge and less chance of injuries to yet more key players. Fewer matches have helped so far and a greater focus on the premiership title might help even further. I won't be bothered if we don't go through tbh.
Beenon the Leeds board, they think that there will be rotation in their team for this fixture due to the league game vs Villa on the following Saturday being a priority.
