Spurs CL campaign is officially the worst effort since Blackburn 95/6.

The most pitiful effort in 70 English entries since 96.

Only Leverkusen's poor finishing saved Spurs from being even worse

As @Hoddle Is A God said it is an 'embarrassment' to English football.

Shame he didn't see that it was his own club that were the embarrassment.

Very embarrassing for English football tbh. Why bother putting in so much effort last year to look like complete nobodies? Really odd.

 

Excellent point ... I find it quite baffling that you would 'sacrifice' competing this season seemingly just to enable you to get into the same competition next? ... bonkers.

Which do you think is the more embarrassing to English football:-

(a) Spurs' (admittedly unsatisfactory) early exit from this season's CL, having only ever qualified for the competition for the second time, with a young and inexperienced squad and manager, and still on a massive learning curve; or

(b) Arsenal's failure to ever win the competition in 20 attempts (and counting), on top of some of the severest dry-humpings any fan, of any sport, will ever have witnessed, any where in the entire World?

I want you to give me your honest opinion, Sky, removed from any biased language or wummery.

And, on that note, I would ask the usual suspects to butt out of this one. It's between me and Sky. Thank you.
