Indeed. You know, I'm laughing at all this atm but it's ****ing sad really. We've been doing this for 100 years & it's never been a problem before. Now all of a sudden it is. You'd think it was akin to the ****ing swastika or something like that.
It was agreed in 2011 with FIFA it was ok. Now it seems it is not only not ok for the players it`s not ok for the fans either. Beyond belief. Fatma Samoura, the FIFA’s new Secretary General, has changed the governing body’s stance insisting teams will be punished if they wear the armbands. She seems to be the one behind it all.
I think she was the one I mentioned last time. If shes the one from Senegal. She sounded incredibly ignorant of the facts when she was interviewed on Radio4! I just think it's a case of tactical mis-direction, trying to deflect and change the debate about their own incompetence and corruption. They've just chosen a bloody bad case to make an example of and are making themselves look even more incompetent.
According to the link (it`s the Sun I know) she has no experience or qualifications at all. No idea what that`s about but your reason is probably as good as any. I don`t see why countries governing bodies can`t get themselves together and leave FIFA to rot.
I was under the impression that EUFA pretty much bankrolls FIFA. We should tell them we've had enough of being patronised and humiliated by corrupt third world states running FIFA to suit their own agendas and we're going to run our competition at the same time as their World Cups in Qatar and Russia.
I didn`t know that. Thought they were independent. It might be getting close to telling FIFA where to go and any imposed punishment may well tip the scales. No idea what other countries think of FIFA. Don`t suppose they`re too pleased about all the gannins on.
My piss is boiling now pops. Just gonna leave it for now because I'll end up saying something that will get me banned again.
I might be wrong about that pops. I'm sure it's something that I read quite a while ago. When the likes of Trinidad & Tobago, Luxembourg, San Marino, etc have the same value vote as England, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, etc, then our financial muscle doesn't mean jack ****.
Apparently not compared to the brown envelopes. I wonder if the major football nations are thinking about pulling the plug.
In FIFA’s Laws of the Game, rule four states: “The basic compulsory equipment must not have any political, religious or personal slogans, statements or images. I look forward to them banning the crescent moon. It`s only fair.
Would make it hard for the commentators wouldn't it. "Brown eyes down the left wing, puts in a cross to brown eyes, she strikes, oh saved by brown eyes as sh tips it over the bar." "Corner to Afghanistan to be taken by brown eyes."
