Over the British teams wearing poppies situation ! we could lose points hehe, I would not be surprised, how is this just wrong now ? we have been doing it for years, so do we ban Christmas because of religion/faith ?. They have nowt better to do in them headquarters than to kick up a stink, I am buying/wearing a poppy each year and stuff anyone who tells me otherwise and I don't give a crap who they are.

I'd happily take punishment in the form of points, I'd rather we didn't qualify for Russia, our traditions are far more valuable than a (rapidly decreasing in credibility) FIFA World Cup trophy that none of the British teams have a cat in hell's chance of winning .

It's beyond farcical how much of a corrupt ****hole everybody knows FIFA is and yet they expect people to listen to them bleating about poppies. There's not much that makes me genuinely angry but this does.

Beat me to this - so ridiculous or is this just the beggining of the Brexit negotiations or is there worse to come : no flags , team colours , chanting , etc all could be interpreted by FIFA as political and inflammatory or worse by giving an unfair advantage to a team ?
Financially corrupt FIFA to morally corrupt FIFA ....
    I am so confused:
:emoticon-0112-wonde...but as Sunderland fans we always expect the unexpected -
    like a win on Saturday - <doh>

I'd rather we just boycott any FIFA competition whether domestic or international than be dictated to by some ****ing bureaucrat, just who the **** do they think they are? If it wasn't for the very people that fought to keep a free world, the ****ing scum who dreamt up this stupid ruling probably wouldn't even exist. My piss is boiling now just thinking about it.

What`s next? Checking fans to see if any are wearing a crucifix? A kippah under a baseball cap? No turbans allowed?

If this is intended as a deflection away from their own problems they`re making a very poor job of it.

The thing is, this goes beyond football and sport and into a much bigger case that they simply cannot begin to control.

The ECHR would shred FIFA's case in 5 minutes.

I think the only way to resolve this is with tanks, and boots on the ground, FIFA must be treated like ISIS from herein out.

Comparing the stupidity of FIFA with the lunacy of ISIS is a bit of a stretch mate, unless of course they have a connection with Ramjam Chattery the famous poppy burner.

They can`t ban poppies without banning turbans and all the other `adverts of faith` for want of a better way to put it. It`s just crazy.

As for it being political I`ve yet to see an explanation as to why they think it is.

Might be best if we all go about in bubbles that we can see out of but nobody can see in, save people from any offence.
