You need a new calculator love

    As Can has scored 2 in 8, to Kane's 5 in 7.

Can doesn't take penalties for us, guess that means Milner is a #worldclass striker though <ok>

Kane got 25 league goals last season and 21 the season before, and is still only 23.

We can file this under #doingalukaku

nono tobes, you need to take away the goals he scored from penalties and from inside the box and his right peg.

    #KaneIsAFraud

Sturridge though has 0 goal from 9 games this season though. However if you count all the times the keeper has made a world class save and hit the woodwork he would be on about 20 goals. He's generally #worldclass

He's probably no longer Wuurrrllld class mate, as he wants away.

Firmino will have taken his place <ok>

Penalties don't count in Astro Land.
Like I said the other week, in his head this is a whole other game.
He isn't seeing that we see.
He has a whole other league table in his mind, based on what results he arbitrarily allows based on his own "rules".
A game where penalties don't count, goals that make you win by more than one goal don't count, and basically nothing counts unless it results in Liverpool being top.

You seen the film "They Live!" with Rowdy Roddy Piper, well Astro has glasses that when he puts them on the League table looks like this.

    1. Liverpool P 12 W 12 D 0 L 0 F 123 A 0 PTS 36
    2. Red Card P 12 W 0 D 0 L 0 F 0 A 31 PTS 0
    3. Dodgy Ref P 12 W 0 D 0 L 0 F 0 A 44 PTS 0

In the sport of "Astroball", Liverpool have won 12 back to back titles and are undefeated in 326 games.

He is the worst kind of football fan, the kind who sits there constantly shouting for refs to send people off, just living for the Yellow and Red cards.

Its you lot that tell us sturridge is too good to be on the bench, we know he's not been good enough this year that's why we've dropped him.

Can you not be sensible, i'm trying to get my astro figures out. I can only do his legitimately whilst my team is ahead of yours as there isn't a comeback to that

    Quote from that RAWK thread:

To illustrate the difference in fixture difficulty, Swansea’s first 11 opponents have won 194 points this season and have an average current league position of 7.9, while Manchester City’s have won 140 and sit a lowly 12.3. Probably the fairest way of differentiating between the difficulty of fixtures so far played is to use the total points won by each team’s opponents excluding games in which that team have played.

Or, we could just let everyone play everyone, award 3 points for a win, one for a draw and 0 for a loss <laugh>

I mean seriously what the **** is that? Please? Someone explain to me the need for some people to do **** like this?

    A league position of 12.3? <laugh>

Why is it sad? It's been running for 6/7 years from the looks of it. Plotting a table with the 7 top teams from the previous season and seeing progress from a different angle. I think it's a good thread for anyone interested in how the top teams are doing from a novel perspective.

I think the official Premier League table does a decent job of that.

Its just a different way to look at things. We all say the table doesn't lie but before 19 games are played some teams have played harder games than others so it's not as clear cut as things may seem.

If you're a relegation team and you look at see that your 17th but have played all the teams in bottom half and team in 18th have played teams in top half, does the table give a good indication of the better team? You'd suggest that the next half of games the team lower down have a better chance of doing well that team above.

It means **** all, like us speaking about transfers and performances etc. Nothing we say or do here is meaningful (other than Mafia games obv) but it's just something to pass time and discuss different things.

For people that have analytical minds it's an interesting concept and should have you try plot who might come where when you extrapolate average results against teams at top/middle/lower part of the table across rest of the season.
