Why are people telling other people that they aren't doing enough to protest ? If you feel that strongly do something about it yourself
I started a thread last season asking if people really wanted us to go up as, imo, the Allams wouldn't sell if we did. To be fair it was a badly worked out thread. Of course everyone wanted to see us in the Prem. And being in the Prem would give us a better chance of being sold so the Allams could recoup their outlay. But now, where are we? No sale. Potential buyers pulling out due to the deal being too difficult. But other clubs are bought and sold often. Just not us. Dwindling crowds at the Kcom. The big gate v Man Utd showed up the day-trippers. Empty seats at Wembley. And a pathetic argument saying we Hull City fans had just got bored of Wembley. Really? We are a basket case of a club right now. And no-one is to blame beyond the Allams. Basically, their gift to us was the beginning of the end. They thought they were adored (they were) and could do no wrong. But if you alienate the fans of a football club, well, you know the rest. The spat with the council was THEIR business to sort out. Nothing to do with supporters of Hull City. But because us fans didn't protest at the doors of Guildhall for our saviours, we became an irrelevant, hooligan-infested pain in the arse. The gradual seeding of the words 'Hull City Tigers' in interviews was spotted and instantly questioned. Did Assem think, "Hmm, this isn't going to go well. I have a battle with the council but I need our fans (those of us Allams and those of Hull City) on our side. Changing the name is going to erase that support. I should stop the name change now." No he didn't. He went headlong into it. Battled the fans, the FA and anyone who stood in his way. As I've said many boring times, I gave up my pass after the 0-1 game against Palace (the one with the banner and before beating Liverpool 3-1 ffs!) because of the name change and Assams attitude. Haven't seen a game since. I said I applauded those fans who were against the Allams but went to support the team and protest too. I also said those who backed the Allams and said things like "it's their club, they can do what they like", and "I don't care what happens as long as we have Premier League football..", were pond life scum. Against their fellow fan who they work and socialise with day in day out. Some people have said we've had worse owners. Maybe we have. It's debatable. But one thing is for sure, only Allam divided the fans. I can't think of another example of a club's fans so against each other regarding the owners. It stank at the time of the booing City Till I Die and it still stinks now. So what happems now? As has been said, our new custodian, Ehab, has an agenda. An Allam agenda. I really do believe he and they want revenge. They feel slighted by a certain group of people. A group of people who just love their football club. A group of people who fight amongst themselves due to the power of money and position. Ehab and they hold us Hull City fans in utter contempt. And not just us. Closing the Argyle St bridge will remove a conduit for Hull residents going about their business. If you're not a Hull City hooligan who can die when you want, but a local citizen of all ages, you're hated too. So what's my point? Maybe there isn't one and i just want to want. But the toxic cloud hovering over the Kcom is becoming ever darker. And I see worse to come. However, one day this regime will be gone. If it means us starting over then I can't wait. A full, rocking Kcom against Braintree would be fine by me. Because if the Allams were long gone, I'd be there to see it. Once they're gone, a rebuild will be needed. Definitely by the club but also the fans too. I can't wait to see the Allam regime over. They hate me and they hate you. Let's see what happens next...
When we were relegated from the Premier League the first time, he consistently told HCAFC forums that he hated the PL and wouldn’t go back to City if we returned. When we did return, in 2013, he reaffirmed his contempt and his intention to boycott. He stood tall and boycotted every game, apart from home games (because he had a season pass – daft to waste it) and some choice away games.
Ben might not thank me for this but I know for a FACT he has got a bloody great job. I doubt if anyone else on here could do his job infact I bet no one could. Ben is one of the best people I have ever met and I have met many amazing people over the last few years. He has more brains in his little toe then I have in my head. Thats all
For what it's worth I think they still want to sell but are both greedy and inept. The Chinese are playing a game, but they can't work out the Allams as they are as mad as hatters. It's boring and pointless. My opinion of the Allams and how they should be treated has never really changed. That's more than can be said for some of the tossers on here. I personally believe the majority of the fanbase deserve everything they get; I just hope they enjoyed the view from the fence.
Still love the way Jet Harris holds his *** in the neck of his guitar, takes it out at the end, has a couple of drags & stubs it on the floor. Memories my good man
