Victor Chinedu Anichebe (born 23 April 1988) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as astriker for Premier League club Sunderland. He is a humanoid tank who possesses super-human strengh and is capable of scoring goals unlike any other man.

Great win, a clean sheet and a real threat up front, it really is starting to look promising, still a lot of work to do of course, but we have given ourselves a chance which we did not look capable of two games ago, onwards and upwards. Three in a row for Victor and Defoe is the way to go. :emoticon-0169-dance

We still look lost at the back but we truly have hope now! Anichebe has been what we've been crying out for for ages. Let's sneak a at least a point of Liverpool and keep it going

How important was that save by Pickford and the follow up by PvA? A goal for them then could have been a game changer.

We arec3 points behind 3 clubs and 4 behind Leicester in 13th. 2 wins makes a massive difference

Every pundit relegated us when we had 2 points yet I've heard none say that about the one team that are worse than us

That double save was as good as one seen mind. Immense. One litle mistake on distribution with his wrong foot but he certainly should be first choice. He's excellent

We have gone through this season so far without an ounce of luck but have stuck to our guns and we are now getting some sort of reward for the performances.

He has to remain number 1 certainly mate, just hope we can look a bit more solid in front of him. Hopefully a clean sheet should give them a bit more confidence.

With Papy being sent off i expect Kirchoff to come back into midfield and Denayer taking his place in cb. Kirchoffs gona get a run out with the kids next week apparantly.

First match I've been to this season (Bairn won tickets) at first I thought this is **** football, then I thought this is the ****test football I've seen us play for a long time, then I focused on individuals, Pickford, tremendous distribution, a niche be is a brick wall, Defoe running, blonde top tries like ****, dreadlocks somewhere between anichebe and blonde top, watmore adding to his game

All in all progression with folk coming back, I'm a happy Mackey tha neet

If he is fit then that is great news. I felt we were a bit weak in CM today and helped them get to the back to easy. Kirchhoff would be a great addition.

Great result but what a strange strange game.

Not a great deal of quality on offer, lights going out, like a training match at times and those stupid ****ing clackers.

Hull will finish bottom of the league IMO.

Aye it was colder than a witches tit and trust me, those are cold.

Bit of an odd game but good fun, the lights going out was a laugh and it looked quite pretty actually. Not a great performance by most of the team with the exception of Defoe who scored a great goal and Anichebe who was absolutely immense. Oh and Pickford was very good as usual.

Who'd have thought that a little guy and a big guy upfront could work well for Sunderland eh.

I hope this is another blessing. Jellybaby inspires zero confidence at the back. He seems too erratic. Denayer looks canny in a central role. I just hope big Jan is back for next week, and for good (can stop getting crocked) to give us the composure we need there in midfield.
