Are you hoping to catch us up while we are messing with our first 11?

    There's always hope.

A lot more of it about than expectation these days.

A repeat of last season's game would be most welcomed, one of our best performances of the campaign. We're running threadbare but I think we have enough in the tank to get a good result. I wouldn't be against the three (or five, depending how you see Kyle & Danny's roles) at the back formation again like how we played against Arsenal, it seems to be becoming the "in thing" to play that way and seeing as we've got a number of injuries along with underperforming attacking mids, it makes sense to me to temporarily beef up where we're strongest then push on from there once others return to the side.

    Hugo
    Walker, Dier, Jan, Kev, Rose
    Wanyama, Dembele
    Son, Kane, Eriksen

Vorm, Tripps, CCV, Winks, Sissoko, GKN, Janssen

Poch said Alli is doubtful, as much as I'd like him to play I'd rather he sit out rather than risk a rushed return and get injured again. Eriksen scrapes into the side purely as the only sufficient option to replace him would be Sissoko who may be a little rusty after the ban, unless Poch feels GKN can get a start that is.

    COYS!

Sissoko in fairness has been saying the right things if you believe the media reports, the fact he's acknowledged his form hasn't been great is actually quite comforting as it shows he recognises the need for improvement. There's no doubting he's a class player when he wants to perform - hence the fair Ade comparisons - so I just hope he can find his rhythm here and be the player we know he can be because if he brings that Euro's form on a regular basis then £30m in this current market is a snip. I actually thought he started off his first few games well, his City performance really impressed me but then it went down hill and he then looked like someone who'd won a competition to play in a Premier League side for a few games because he looked way out of his depth.

Have a lot of good thoughts about the team...but have absolutely nothing positive to say about Sissoko. His performance at Wembley was the worst individual spurs players performance since that Bentley debacle v the goons in September 2010 in the league cup.

We all know that the Hammers are a one-man team when they're going forward.
In fact, this has impressed one film-maker, who is planning to create a new movie about them.
It's called "All Payet on the West Ham Front".
    Boom! Boom!

How about a chorus this evening of
    "Our stadium's our own,
    Our stadium's our own -
    We're Tott'n'am Hotspur -
    Our stadium's our own!" <doh><doh> ???
(To the Harry Kane tune, of course)

So...errm...based on that lineup, are we playing in a 4312 formation today?

Surely it's winks and Wanyama in the "2", and Dembele Eriksen and Kane in the "3"?

If not, I have no idea what the formation is!

Thinking about it, we could line be playing our system from last season and the team'll look like this: Walker, Dier, Verts, Rose; Wanyama, Winks; Kane, Dembele, Eriksen; Janssen

That seems to fit, given Kane dropped into the attacking trio with Janssen up front the previous times both were on the pitch, while Dembele's been a high-pressing number ten in the past.

    4-4-2 with a midfield diamond? That's different.
Another altered formation though and I thought that the last one worked.
No pace in the midfield or attack and virtually none on the bench, either.

Relying on pace with ball perhaps.
