Both sides are struggling for form with Rangers languishing in 17th place in the Championship table and City on wretched run with just one win from eight competitive fixtures. Indeed that win was against lowly Rotherham United who currently sit rock bottom, another poor performance and result from his side tomorrow and Neil’s tenure as Norwich boss could well be coming to the end. QPR have only won five league games this season three of them coming in the first month of the campaign, subsequently winning none in September and twice in October. Norwich who harboured ambitions of a swift return to the Premier league at the first time of asking this term, are seven points adrift of Brighton who occupy the second automatic promotion spot and are 10 points behind leaders Newcastle. Last time out QPR managed a 1-1 draw away at Nottingham Forest but it wasn’t enough for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank to keep his job and with just 13 wins from 47 in charge he was sacked. Britt Assombalonga opened the scoring for Forest in the 38th minute but Idrissa Sylla was able to convert a Nasser El Khayati cross with his head in the 85th minute to rescue a late draw for Rangers. Incredibly Rangers have never won at The City Ground in 33 attempts. please log in to view this image Idrissa Sylla celebrates his late equaliser at the City Ground As for the Canaries It was both heartache and disappointment as they squandered a one-goal lead to allow Leeds a route back into the game. After pulling the scoreline level to 2-2 in the dying minutes they were then caught off guard by a Ronaldo Vieira 25-yard free kick deep into added time which proved to be the winner for the visitors. Norwich’s Robbie Brady had given the hosts the lead, before first Pontus Jansson and then Chris Wood scored to put the visitors ahead. Kyle Lafferty had levelled for City late on but the final nail in the coffin came from Vieira. please log in to view this image Despite a late strike by Kyle Lafferty, City still lost out against Leeds In team news striker Conor Washington should be fit enough to make the match day squad for Rangers after being withdrawn from Northern Ireland duty prior to their friendly with Croatia, Karl Henry serves an automatic suspension after receiving a red card at Forest. For Norwich, ‘keeper Michael McGovern is a doubt after returning from international duty with a groin injury, so John Ruddy may be in line for a recall as custodian. Ivo Pinto remains sidelined as do long term absentees Johnny Howson and Matt Jarvis, Alex Tettey may well return in midfield. Ian Holloway's Match Preview please log in to view this image Ian Holloway returns for a second spell at QPR and gives his thoughts “I can't wait for Saturday, I'm so excited. The character the lads showed against Forest before the international break, to come back and draw the game with ten men, was fantastic. We need to try and build on that this weekend. We've had a good week since I've been back and I can't credit the lads enough for what they've shown me in training. The feeling I've got going into this game is indescribable. I just want the fans to get behind us as they can do. They need to be with us.” Alex Neil's Match Preview City boss Alex Neil previews tomorrow's game "We've conceded too many goals so have done a lot of work in terms of our shape, recovering into our shape and breaking from our shape. We don't want to be too exposed from open play." "This season, we haven't really struggled to score goals. However, we need to start keeping more out so there is a balance to be struck which hopefully we will find. "It's about repetition, as much as you can; putting the players into uncomfortable scenarios as many times as we can. We're hoping they make the best and right decisions more often than not." "With the quality we have in the squad, we would expect that. Unfortunately we haven't really produced that in the last few games, which we're looking to improve." City’s highest margin of victory is by 5 goals to nil, a feat which they have achieved twice. The first was on 21st April 1924 in Division Three (South) at the Nest, the second on Boxing Day of the same year in the same competition at the same venue. QPR’s best win was on 14th October 1933 at Loftus Road also in Division Three (South) when they beat the visitors 5-2. QPR subsequently went on to win the replay 2-0 at Loftus Road 4 days later. The Canaries break the hearts of the West Londoners in 1976 One of the most notable games was on 17th April 1976 in League Division One at Carrow Road. With just three games of the season remaining, Rangers were on course to win the league title in only their fourth season in the top tier. Over 11,000 QPR fans travelled to East Anglia that day to witness the Canaries spoil their party with City ending up 3-2 winners. Although Rangers managed to win their last two games against Arsenal and Leeds United respectively, it was Liverpool who were crowned Champions with QPR finishing a just a point behind as runners up. Hi Guys, MDT's are back for the time being at least. A few of you on here know that I've had a real upheaval in my personal life these last few weeks which has resulted in me not posting so much on this forum. It's been tough but life goes on and in the unlikely event that she's reading this, I'd just like to thank a certain person for her support and friendship (you know who you are), who I'm extremely fond of ...... anyway OTBC
You not doing these bloody threads has caused a major upheaval in MY ****ing life KIO . The reason I log into this God forsaken site is to escape from the permanent torment that life throws at me . I can guarantee that my life is way worse than yours at the moment and Norwich losing every ****ing game is merely the cherry on a massive ****ty cake . Cruyff's got arse cancer Dave is on his last legs Rob is a lawyer and others have even worse **** going on than us. Your threads are awesome and we only win when you do them. IF we win tomorrow please please please throw us poor bastards a bone and continue . Kind regards Mat
Good to see you back doing the MDT's Rich, you have been sorely missed, this particular one is an absolute stonker, very well done
Fantastic to see you doing the MDT again and to see you 'back in the saddle' KIO - mine just were only just 'fit for purpose'. Hope you're getting your life back together and that you'll keep posting. A very tricky game and we will do well to even get a share of the points. I'm hopeful to see at least a few changes in the starting 11, but knowing AN, I wouldn't be surprised to see Thompson back on the bench so that Tettey can return. I'd love to see Tettey, Brady, Hoolahan and Jerome on the bench, but what do I know????
Point of information...as of October 26th I no longer have cancer. Well, that's what my oncologist said.
It got much worse later - he brought up Dean Coney - one of the biggest flops ever seen in a Norwich shirt
The most amazing words it's possible for a person to hear, CT The NNUH still check me regularly, but as mine was 4 years ago, there's a (very encouraging) longer gap between check-up visits. So glad to learn that you've been given the all clear. I clearly remember the day I heard my news - and will for the rest of my days

I guess that Thompson must be injured, as he's not even on the bench. At least Hoolahan is on the bench - pity his fellow countryman isn't there with him!!! AAARGH - I've just realised that Bassong is starting, so I'll be amazed if we don't concede at least 3 goals.
I've completely lost faith with AN and unless we win convincingly today, it won't make any difference. I might catch up with the game towards the end!!!
