hmm.. to me it sounds like he genuinely missed it. um it was a boring game, Spain didnt start playing till 10 minutes from the final whistle, then they scored 2 and levelled up.
I had totally forgotten that England were playing last night until I saw the papers this morning. You will be glad to know that I really enjoyed "Arrival" instead.
Spain phoned that one in, they only decided to play for the last 10 minutes and still scored two goals. England looked good, unfortunately it doesn't count for much against a team that couldn't have cared less.
Graham Le Saux has joined FA chief executive Martin Glenn, chairman Greg Clarke, technical director Dan Ashworth and former England caretaker manager Howard Wilkinson, on the panel who will decide the next England manager. I'm not sure why he's bothered, it's obviously going to be Southgate.
Nine of the Spanish players that played last night also played in their last competitive game. Anyway, we played Lingard, so that cancels out any claim of weakened teams.
England held their own up until Spain decided to step up a gear and decided to score 2 goals. it was boring cos they didnt turn up to give us a game.
You don't half post some ****e, they were outplayed in the first half, had it not been a friendly we wouldn't half changed half the team in the second half and we'd have won.
Had it not been a friendly 9 of those Spanish players wouldn't have been in the team and we'd have been complete and utter ****e.
you just admitted that we didnt take it seriously. Thats what made it boring to me. At least Roy Hodgeson won his qualifying games. by that **** show last night, we couldnt hold on for 90 minutes.
It wasn't a qualifying game, we treated it like everyone treats a friendly, we didn't 'not take it seriously'. You can only play the team in front of you and we did that very well last night, against a very talented team (even if they were without Iniesta, Ramos etc).
