OK catching up. So a big reveal on veteran. Nit sure if that's good or bad at this stage, but it happened.

Have to say it wasn't how I was reading the situation before that reveal. So either i read into it all wrong last night, or there is some meddling/manipulating going on.

Since I am now a known innocent, and can continue to protect myself, the Jailer must arrest me tonight to give me his identity or a codeword so we can start working together

I think if no one else comes forward to claim Vet role then it makes sense. Would give us almost like a Freemason team of innocents who can work together With 1 being known an other unknown.

 

I think it's a good idea to start to form an innocent team and whilst doing so also means you get to save a day of having to use guard. But would it not be better to leave it another day for the jailer to potentially gather more information which he could then share with you? Either way it's a good move to lock you up at some agreed point in time.

On a side note, I really think the jailer should consider killing the person he has jailed last night if they aren't claiming a town role as there is the chance they are the vampire and that's why the vampire didn't act. You'll be kicking yourself if you let him get away. Trust me, I was the jailer and had bad guys constantly locked up without killing them.

 

A bit of a risk this plan. For him to arrest you, you will need to be off guard otherwise he will be killed. This makes you vulnerable to attack/recruit which is fine if he does lock you up but if not...

 

The Jailer can already PM to arrest me since he can always give a codeword then reveal later, though TBH there's no reason he shouldn't trust.

We have to do it tonight to start as soon as possible and there is no way to agree on another day.

Someone could counter my claim but it would be suicide. The best option scum could have it wait for me to be arrested, then counter my claim and say the Jailer should execute me, eventually sacrificing themself to avoid a town team. But the Jailer can release me with a codeword to later identify themselves, then the counter-claimer is investigated and #exposed so it doesn't work.

 

Ive also noted that last game everyone who got put in jail openly claimed it on the thread but this game no-one has come forward as having been put in jail. Have we thought about what the pros and cons of revealing this might be?

 

I have #confirmed that he would not be killed if I were on guard, but I won't be anyway to avoid wasting it.

Valley was making his usual visit to his old pal RHC's house, for their weekly 'cheese and chess' fun. But when he knocked on the door, it slowly opened on its own. RHC had left it unlocked.
Valley crept in hesitantly "RHC. Are you there pal? RHC?" RHC didn’t reply.
Valley made his way into the lounge where the pair usually enjoyed many long moments comparing their favourite cheeses and favourite chess moves.
RHC wasn't there.
Then Valley noticed a sheep lying down in the corner.
"WTF? A sheep? In RHC'S house? Ooohhh, maybe it's a 'gift' from my old pal."
Instantly aroused, Valley mounted the sheep and after 30 long secnds of wild and rampant sex, Valley rolled over exhausted. "Wow that was fantastic. The best ever. Tell me your name sheep."
As Valley stroked the sheep's wool, it all came off in his hands. It wasn't a sheep. It was the remains of a scrambled human body, covered in covered in a fully sheared lamb's fleece to hide the blood and **** stains.
"Oh my god. What the f..?"
Valley took a closer look. It...it..it..was...Nev. killed in RHC'S house with some strange contraption shoved up the arse Valley had just humped.
Mortified at having shagged a man instead of a sheep Valley flipped out.


Later when RHC returned home to dispose of the body he remembered that Valley was due to pp round. "Damn. I'm going to be found out" he thought as he saw his front door wide open. He boldly stepped inside, preparing to confront his old friend.
But instead he found Nev's buggered corpse and Valley hanging over it.
The fool had only gone and lynched himself again.

But you can admit after that you were jailed?

 

I agree on one condition, that you as the Veteran cannot be recruited by either the Mafia or Vamps.
The way I see it you can't be while you are protecting yourself, only once you've used up your protects can you be recruited/killed.

Of course the arsonist will almost certainly target you now, but there's not much you can do about that. If you get locked up it means you save your protects for another two nights, and know who another confirmed innocent is (until the recruiting starts anyway). So I agree with your plan.

 

I agree. If they claim VT then kill them, it's worth the risk.
If they claim a town role then tell Astro what role they're claiming tomorrow and who they are, that way he can see if anyone else claims the role in 2 days time.
