Eight goals for a struggling Rotherham side in the Championship suggests that Ward could be even better in a better side.

Whilst Sunderland are struggling in the Premier League, they are a far superior side to the Millers and would definitely provide Ward with better service than he is receiving.

It could be an inspired signing him Moyes went for him.

Wood also has eight goals this season, but for Leeds United, as they look to finally return to the top flight under current boss Garry Monk.

Currently they lie just outside the play-off places, though, so nothing is guaranteed and Wood may find a move to Sunderland to try and crack the Premier League again after being at Leicester City, too good to turn down

Whilst the attention in Ligue 1 is on the likes of Edinson Cavani and Alexandre Lacazette in the goal scoring stakes Braithwaite continues to go under the radar.

He deserves more credit, though, for the work he has done up top for Toulouse that regularly sees him near the top of the highest scorers list and sees them punch above their weight in the French division.

Modeste is flying in the Bundesliga this season and could be the subject of many interested parties in January if he continues in this manner.

It’s a long way from the torrid time he spent at Blackburn Rovers a few years ago in the top flight and may feel he has unfinished business with football in this country.

If he does and Moyes can persuade him to join they’ll be sitting pretty.

Would depend on costs but Moysy has a knack of finding decent players. And ya right we need to look at a replacement or back up for JD. He can't go on forever.

people say a new striker is expensive, but there are bargains around, we should have bought Shane Long well before he was snapped up, these new kids on the block are well worth a punt.

Bobby Wood is really poor all round and wouldn't be nearly Prem standard. Quick like.

We've been linked with braithewaite a few times and I think he'd be a good buy, quick, stocky and strong and has a lovely touch on him.

We could have likely had him for about £6million pre-season but double that now.

    The Sunderland way.

Edinson Cavani and Alexandra Lacazette would be absolutely superb.

These four would be like hoping for a PS4 for Christmas and actually getting this...

Gil my issue was with the wording used by the author.

'Absolutely superb'... Then goes on to list 4 distinctly average players.

We have three speed merchants on our books who can play up front, getting a tight settled defence is the key to us looking to play counter-attack to get the best return out of Defoe, Watmore and Borini.

when he was at Everton, Moyes took a punt on Jermaine Beckford
who'd scored 71 goals in 126 starts for Leeds, but he couldn't it in the Prem.

Not a chance of Modeste. He's been unreal the Koln. I think he'll get a move to a champions league team if Koln don't qualify themselves.

Dont think the two championship are good enough and Braithwaite isn't the type of forward we need
