The Premier League have agreed a new rule that prevents all away fans being in an upper tier, at least part of the away allocation must be pitchside. Backed a winner there Ehab... So are you going to reopen the West Upper and try and get back all those you pissed off? #AskEhab
No He'll spend time and money seeing how to apply the rule but not the spirit So far I suspect he's concentrating on how small the pitch side block needs to be "Ticket availability to come and see your club play Club With No Name at the KCOM Upper West - 2500 North East corner - 1 All seats will have free clappers, TShirts and a cushion and you are reminded that tipping the toilet fairy is not required PS if these sell out please feel free to buy seats in the Home section. There's plenty of them and we prefer you to the local hooligans"
Good news if we ever have another trip to Newcastle, those seats are a joke, you get a better view of Newcastle city centre than you do the game.
Reopen the west upper and give away fans the west lower.............then we wont see them on telly rejoicing.
He probably thinks that rule shouldn't apply to Hull City Tigers. Like all those other ones they don't like.
Perhaps if there is one block pitchside and another higher up City could give the fansca choice. Offer one lot for people who want to sit down like they were at a theatre, wavingbto and photoing the stars of the other team, chatting, swapping videos, talking about other teams as one poster says fans he knows do who have their afternoon spoilt by noise and suggests we should support the team with "quiet passion", and the other section for fans who want to act like they are at a football match and support the team.
Clubs are right to try and minimise the volume generated by visiting supporters. It might add to the spectacle for neutrals but not for the home club or its supporters. Check where the wealthiest sit and where the directors boxes are situated. Halfway up on the halfway line, ankle height behind the goal is as bad as the 7th tier for watching. At West Ham this season you are now also 20 to 30 yards from the pitch.
I know what you're saying, but I must admit I do like away fans near to the more vocal home fans I wouldn't hide them out if the way personally, it would reduce the banter/antagonism that is part of the game as far as I'm concerned
Yeah but I imagine the banter/antagonism you refer to is the type that they don't want, and want to eradicate. Unfortunately for us, the more vocal home fans have been scattered around the stadium or away from it altogether, and the away fans already have a good pitchside location. Epic ****ing fail from Polo Boy three times over.
My fault for not expressing myself very clearly. I was referring to City giving our fans this option at away games if they are split into more than one block. Will stop the arguments that see the fans of other clubs nearly always all stood up whilst we often have a majority sat down, stewards glad to be given the chance to enforce regulations because we have fans quite happy to see their own ejected whilst others stick together.
Allam will no doubt offer them some freebies to them to make their match day experience more enjoyable but offer nothing to their own fans who take the time and effort to travel away. Some clubs know how a vocal away following can help lift the players, others don't know and don't care.
I think the chance of standing returning might be a possibility. I believe theyre going to discuss it in Parliament
There may be the chance of a possibility. Or the possibility of a chance. But the likelihood of it happening anytime soon are remote. By the time it comes in we could be in a division which doesn't require all seater stadia anyway.
