to end up in the only section of our fantastic away support, that decided they all wanted to sit down at cov. had to move up the back at half time, and then get the steward chatting about anything and everything for about 15 mins so he didnt notice i hadn't even got a seat behind me lol, but it worked. think i'll let my lad get the tickets next time, he always seems to manage to get near the back, only prob is getting him to part with his money
Were you in the back corner of block 7 sandiacre? Was a steward up there at start of 2nd half trying to get fans to sit and gave up in the end but did notice he stood talking to a fan for a while and thought bet hes getting really pi~~ed off with that chav. We were row TT of block 8 and stood all game, have learnt to ask now for seats at rear and those who wish to sit with arms folded all game should likewise ask for tickets at front. Still no guarantee that they wont have fans standing in front of them.
yes that was me doddy and yes it was the steward at the start of the 2nd half trying to get everybody to sit down. must admit i missed a bit of the match talking to him, but as i say it served a purpose lol. and ill be def asking for seats at the back in future, the arms folded brigade is def not for me
At the Madrid game I bought my season ticket in L1 and there's a large group behind me that couldn't go - Guess what - The seats were bought by the arms folded brigade - Spent all game telling us to sit down - I mean really, buying a seat in L1 and expecting everyone there to sit - Bleedin old dears, still not got the smell of urine out of my nose
Don't want to start the 'where were you when we were crap' thing again but anyone who has been in the last few years knows that L1 is the un official standing area. Sit in SK2 with my lad but for away games there are either 4 or 5 of us and seems right to stand even though we ask for towards rear always hoping those in front are standers also.
yeh im in L1 as well danger, got lucky at the Madrid game tho, the people behind us reluctantly stood up, as i think they understood, as you rightly point out, you dont go in L1 to sit down. Doddy, ill be adopting the asking for tickets at the back approach from now on thats for sure, and to be fair, the 4 lads behind us last sat wanted to stand up as well, it was those behind them that didnt, but each to their own i guess. Me and my lad moved from the kop 3 seasons ago, cos we could always see L1 standing and thought that will do for us. were about 9 rows from the back right infront of jobber lol..............
