... we beat Burnley 3-0 just saying ... ... Chelsea have now found their formation ... and more importantly, their mojo ... 12-0 combined against the reigning Champs, United and Everton ... that's impressive by anyone's standards ...
The Chelsea win was good, I say good as it can't be classed as great, because of the opposition, Everton. Newcastle 5 Man Utd 0 - That was a great performance, one of the best ever, beating a full strength Ferguson utd team, Cantona and co.
We never turned up. Yes they played very well, but we were total dogshit. Nowhere near the best performance ever, Motty must have been bladdered.
... the point is that whilst it is possible for individual teams to beat others on a given day, it really comes down to finding the right momentum, game plan and mental strength ... Chelsea seem to have now done just that, plus they have a number of previous EPL title winners in their team ... Liverpool have played some scintilating football ... but when it came to the real test of overcoming a stubborn United they had no answers ... Chelsea were utterly ruthless ... they are looking formidable Outside of Merseyside I suspect the vast majority of footie fans are now thinking that Chelsea are looking like favourites ...
I'm sure you said that before the last dozen games the past three seasons . All I'm saying is when the last dozen games are upon us , I break out the popcorn and keep an eye on Sunderland ... " The Great Escapers "
The trouble with calling these types of games is that your opponents can make you look like Brazil of the 70s, as Everton did for Chelsea. It'll be a very different story when the Chavs meet the Mighty Spurs Juggernaut. Costa will already be ****ting his pants.
Never say never mate. Clubs have history. Ffs in byegone days we were a big team. Won the title more times than Chelsea. City. Think we rank about 6th. Now a shell of a club. But with 1st class support. I don't think many would deny us that much
Fossy, please stop with the waffling mate. If I wanted an essay I'd read one. You think Chelsea are better, I think Liverpool are better, somehow you gauge your opinion on the Man Utd game alone. See one small sentence. I think we'd both agree Leicester are currently in a relegation battle though? Sunderland dead certs. Leicester probable. Then perhaps Hull or Middlesborough.
Yes that's right Fossy, I wouldn't just sit down and right an essay then read it back to myself - seems a little pointless mate!
Motty's brain has been a bit of a train wreck for decades now. Don't think we can take anything he says too seriously these days. That said, standing out in a great team performance, Hazard was unplayable.
... yes ... that's why I alluded to their games against us, United AND Everton ... and specifically to the 12 goals scored and with none conceded ... I've no bias and no agenda ... best performances against us this season = Chelsea, Liverpool, United, Hull, West Brom, Sothampton, Arsenal and Spuds in that order ... Southampton and Arsenal didn't score but neither could we score against them ... Spurs got a rather fortuitous penalty ... I merely say it as I see it ... ... I suspect that the majority of Leicester fans on here would agree with me ... we are quite a realistic and humble bunch ... no sense of entitlement, you see
