BBC commentator John Motson says Chelsea’s 5-0 win over Everton was the best performance he has ever seen in the history of the Premier League. Goals from Eden Hazard, Marcos Alonson and Diego Costa put Antonio Conte’s side 3-0 up at half time before Hazard and Pedro scored in the second half to complete the victory. “This was the best 90 minute performance I have ever seen in the Premier League,” Motson said. “I put it above anything I saw from Arsenal when they were at their best, I put it above anything I saw from Manchester United because this was football on another planet. “Producing football like that, I’m not going to look any further for the champions,” he added. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04fdcb2 What are the greatest performances you have witnessed in Premiership history?
Strange as i found the Burnley v Palace match much more enjoyable as a game. But i agree Chelsea looked phenomenal, but so did Liverpool and also Utd (first half).
Football talk wont last long mate. Its the strangest of games that are often the best. Taking my allegiance to sunderland our. Best game last seaon was norwich v liverpool. 4-5 i think. Superb game. I like how Arsenal try to play the game. Chelsea at times look sublime . Yet i find City and Utd kinda boring usually. Strange as i dislike neither.
It's been the best that I've seen. Liverpool looked pretty decent for the first half an hour against a totally inept Watford but I had to go as I'd got better things to see (or so I'd hoped )
Leicester were a joy to watch last season. It was good to see it unfold. 5000/1 superb. But this season most seem capable of beating each other (except us). At the moment Chelsea are the team. Superb.
Chelsea against Everton was superb ... the best of the season so far for me ... Chelsea vs United wasn't bad either ... Liverpool have been excellent too ... but right now Chelsea seem to be the most 'complete' of the 4 likely title contenders IMHO
I'd say Liverpool have been the best this season, by some distance. Chelsea have improved, still not on Liverpool's level though. You can see why Conte got his team to watch Liverpool replays when he was looking down and out. Wise move.
Chelsea look the most conplete team at the moment. City are always capable, and Arsenal will be knocking.
All Chelsea had to do was ditch Mourinho... Man U , take note before he spends all your money and sh1ts the bed .
Written like a true 'Pool fan ... difference for me was Chelsea's dismantling of the United bus ... you boys couldn't even board it ... might be your undoing ... just saying ... don't shoot the messenger
Of all the " Big Clubs " , I dislike Chelsea the least and have no probs with them finishing ahead of Man City , Man U , Arsensal and Liverpool Besides , we are to busy trying to win 19th place at the moment commanchio1... whats happened to us ?
We are ****e mate. Plain and simple. Teams like Burnley (the scouse dominators) and watford are leaving us behind. Its gonna be tough
At the moment , we are no better . Sunderland at least have a tradition of pulling rabbits out of their hats in the last dozen games . This is new ground for us and am beyond worry .
