http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/mat...ll-and-Carl-Baker-sent-off-article782315.html what a load of bollocks cannot even get the score right
Are you surprised? free speech means any plank can print any old garbage...just underlines the sad decline of a once respected newspaper and its standards..I thought they were trying to gain readers not alienate them... well they have here in leicester, and cov..stupid move...
if i could have been bothered to register i would have left a comment, but maybe a good job i didn't, as i would probably been instantly banned or thrown off, what a complete load oh s***e,i have a feeling we are gonna have to get use to this sort of critisism this season, as we will inevitably be the team everbody loves to hate......................bring it on
It's not even worthy of a comment. I'm convinced a Cov fan hacked into the reporter's computer and edited what was previously a respectable article without him knowing
This is the dude wot wrote it. Twitter @DanSilverMirror. Give im' Hell boys. Guy is a West Ham fan apparently.
Who gives a F***. Everyone is going to be against us this season because of our money & SGE, they want us to fail. F*** UM as long as VR, SGE, the squad & us fans do what we need to do the rest can rot in hell to um all. "OH LEICESTER WE LOVE YOU"
I e-mailed the Sunday Mirror i am that incensed by the JERK. I feel I have to respond to the most awful match report I have ever read. Obviously Michael Calvin's limited knowledge of football reflects in his ability or in this case his INABILITY to write a non biased article. Most Leicester City fans are very realistic in our chances of obtaining promotion this season and only know too well how difficult this season will be be so many good sides in the division and with the championship being so unpredictable. For Mr Calvin to launch a scathing attack on our players, manager, supporters and our owners ambitions of trying to guide the club to the premier league is nothing short of a joke, it has left me wondering just who does have a brain the size of a pickled walnut? (Calvins description of Darius Vassell) He is a disgrace to the Sunday Mirror and please do not let this joker loose to comment on any further articles regarding Leicester City. What is wrong with a club who are ambitious enough and wealthy enough to try reach the Prem, tell me that? We do not claim to be Man City but the Poznan was a celebration that first occured during the 2 FA Cup matches between the two teams last season. Please do me a favour Calvin, For Gods sake bring back the News of the World. Total Plank
OK folks don't twitter Dan Silver - He's innocent Its Calvin Book who is the culprit and his twitter page is VERY busy with angry people right now
The report says it's by Michael Calvin - well I'm confused! I do think it was written by a West Ham fan though - I thought that the moment I read it! Here's what I said about it on another thread: "As for that Mirror article, it's a poorly researched opinion piece by someone who clearly is unsettled by another club rising into the nation's consciousness. He doesn't know the history of the Poznan, ie it was a moment shared between us and Man City last year, as for calling our fans arrogant because we've come into money - does he not realise it was a local derby? We've mocked Cov's lack of fans for years - it's not a new thing! He implied we are no longer a nice friendly club 1. he should come to the KP 2. We've never been nice to Cov! More unjustified Sven bashing and even an unnecessary pop at Konchesky show we're dealing with a gutter press reporter of the lowest order."
Having seen the highlights a number of times, it's more likely that the Coventry player was play-acting than Wellens. Vassell's tackle was forceful and late, but not malicious or high or 2 footed, and it seemed very little actual contact was made - I thought he jumped over it. Baker's tackle was worse, He flew into Wellens and went through him full pelt on the leg. To me, that one looked malicious. I think both could have easily been yellow cards, but their's was more worthy of a red than ours was.
As I stated in another thread, I don't read the papers, they are full of b*llocks, they write this sh*t so people react and it blows up a sh*tty story by a wannabee sh*te journo and gives him 5 minutes of fame. It is so obvious he is a jelous fan of another team, hope we now go and spank them home and away! This forum, Sky sports & BBC football online is where it's at if you want the truth
****ing ****! I'll slit that bastards throat with a rusty screwdriver. TWAT arsehole ****ing knob-end. Typical sensationalism. Just because we have a bit of money they are gunning for us. It's okay for Chelsea or Man City or Man U to have money but not Leicester. All I hear about is the fact that we have spent money and not what we are achieving or trying to achieve. It's just like the politics of the the landed gentry and teh "old money" brigade. They can't stand the nouveau riche entering their domain; the lottery winners or self made man has no right to sit alongside the titled gentlemen in their opinions. They want to keep them down and this article typifies the class divide. Little old Leicester? You're okay in your place but don't dare try and do what Chelsea, Man City, or Liverpool have done. Fact - we did the Posnan after the Man City cup matches - nothing to do with trying to emulate them/their wealth. Why knock Man City for copying Lech Poznan? Fact - Sven did not look out of place. That is total bollox. Fact - Wellens (as much as I love him) was not the pivotal player but Fernandez. fact - King was left out to start with due to the mangers decision - that reporter is implyuing he simply isn't high profile enough to get picked (and yet Danns Peltier Nugent etc are high profile?) Fact - calles us fans arrogant as noveau riche - we behaved no different to any other away game in the last 20 years - has he never seen City fans away from home Fact - we are not copying Man City. To sing a song about empty seats is nothing to do with our wealth - it's sung all teh time at grounds across teh country. Fact - he thinks we have somehow purchased a team when really we have no high profile players - they are all experienced pros (which he likes to call journeymen) or up and coming stars of the future. FACT- Konch took a hit at Liverpool - he career took a dip and Sven has reserected that. He is not in decline - he played for Forest last time I looked - so coming to us is a massive step up! Typical jouno that made up his mind what article he was going to write before he attended the game. Basically, get back in your box Leicester , we are all hoping that you'll fail.
Facts 1, he did not watch the game 2, Knows nothing about football 3, Probably just bitter his bosses sent him to watch us and not his beloved ****e hammers We should all contact teh paper and protest against him attending and reporting on our games again.
