Is he consistent enough for them to pay the sort of money it would likely take to sign him? Although I suppose the Spanish league is weaker and he'd be surrounded by better players so would naturally perform to the standard he is capable of more often.

I know he has been on form this season by the way, just in previous seasons he seems to blow hot and cold.

Mainly though I would expect lots of rumours and comments from players and staff leading up to a big money signing for Barca. Themselves and Madrid tend to be quite scummy about the way they go for players.

 

Cout seems like he's a quite lad settled down with wife as well so doubt he'd kick up a fuss and if we get CL football

 

You used his wife as part of the reason he'd like to stay, she'd been the main problem should he have the chance to live in Barcelona or Madrid!
